Looking for a private, gated Frio River house with acres to roam, yet close to everything Frio? North Star sits quietly back off the road, private, in Concan and just made for laid back Frio fun! Located on a section of the Frio that maintains constant flow, y’all will get excited just driving through the gated entrance. With over 1,000 linear feet of double-sided riverfront, plus a second river prong for maximum floating fun! Bring all your tubes, towels & water toys because this is a property that allows guests to bring their personal Golf Cart or Polaris to bring all your toys to the river. Endless parking for all your trucks, trailers and cars.
Get a daily dose of the Frio by walking outside your back door to float the Frio and soak up the sunshine. The biggest attraction is the new covered entertainment area has plenty of tables & chairs for dining, flat screen TV, bar and built-in fire pit with wide rock seating. There’s also a BBQ smoker, basketball hoop and enclosed outdoor dog pen for your favorite paw friends.
This Texas sized property encourages socializing with your group, yet offers enough space for privacy and relaxation. The front field is large enough for either a game of football or soccer, while volleyball, horseshoes, darts, giant jenga and tetherball are sure to please the kids.
North Star is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath home, with an open concept living room/dining room and a small compact kitchen that has everything you need for family meal times. The master bedroom has a king size bed, upscale furnishings and private bath with shower. Bedrooms 2 has (2) queen beds, flat screen tv, with nice accommodations, while Bedroom 3 has (1) queen size bed, flat screen tv and plenty of windows for light. Both bedrooms share a hallway bathroom. Sheets and towels are not provided, but can be for an additional fee if ordered 2 weeks prior to arrival.
There's also a large bunk room that has (3) additional queen size beds, with another bathroom and (2) separate outside entrances. Guests can stay connected with dedicate Wifi. Super close to float not only the 3rd Crossing, but Happy Hollow and Majors Crossing as well. Excellent location to explore Garner State Park, horseback riding and even the bat caves. North Star appeals to those who want private Frio River front, wide open spaces and plenty of river time for family!

The house was older, but beautiful and clean. We had ten people and it was perfect. Access to the river was good, but you do need a side-by-side to get down there. We had a wonderful time!

This is a good house with great outdoor features. The house itself is dated on the inside, but everything is clean and works. The outdoor areas are nice, and the highlight is the access to the Frio River.

We were very surprised this property is so expensive nightly. You have to bring all your own sheets/towels/toilet paper/paper towels/everything. We've stayed in several VRBO's before and have never had to do that. Also, the pictures online make the property seem much larger than it is. the kitchen is absolutely tiny! Living room only seats three people and we were a party of 7 adults and two kids. The "river access" is down a pretty steep and long very rocky trail which was challenging to go up and down. The water was so low there really isn't a river right now, which I know isn't their fault but we certainly didn't get a discount for it either, and the river would be the only reason to pay the high price. The outdoor space is the best part of the house but we wont be back.
