About this cottage rental

Hidden away in a peaceful backwater in the centre of Llanbedrog village lies Gwynant holiday cottage. Believed to be one of the oldest cottages in the village, this characterful property has been newly-renovated and styled by a local interior designer whilst also retaining many traditional touches. Featuring vintage pieces and original artwork, each room has been thoughtfully designed, with solid wood flooring throughout. The cosy lounge boasts a large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, snug sofa & dining table, whilst the shaker-style kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need for your stay, including island unit with bar stools & wine fridge. The main bedroom is a simple but beautifully styled oasis of calm whilst the twin bedroom upstairs is guaranteed to charm our younger guests, with the addition of its own private sitting room. Outside, hidden away beyond the parking area, you’ll find an unexpectedly large private garden with sofas & wonderful wood fired hot tub to relax & enjoy. Whilst for your alfresco dining, there is a built in charcoal bbq & kitchen area, stocked with suitable outdoor picnic ware & camping stove.
Llanbedrog beach, a mile-long stretch of sandy coast lined with colourful beach huts, is around 15 minutes' walk from your front door and features a shop, beach bar and restaurant. Slightly further afield is the bustling seaside village of Abersoch, with its boutique stores, watersports centre and eateries.

PLEASE NOTE The garden is not to the rear of the property but behind the parking area at the front . It is however completely contained & private.

What a beautiful little cottage. Beautifully decorated and a sweet garden with hot tub was a perfect spot to relax. Just a walk to a lovely beach and great views. Can recommend here for a relaxing beach retreat and not to be missed a meal at Trenfam - fantastic food and views.

Just a gorgeous cottage that the pictures truly didn't do justice. It was tucked away on the outside of Pwllheli and just a short walk away from a beautiful beach and fantastic pubs. My daughter loved the loft bedroom and the decor was perfect. Was a highlight of our journey around the UK.

Loved our stay here. Sam (the owner) was really very accommodating and helpful. She has created a lovely cozy space which is ideally located being quiet but walkable to some great beaches (and bars/eateries). Can’t remember if this was clear from the property description (I don’t remember it being), but there is no back garden. The hot tub/bbq area is separated from the front of the property across a communal drive. This came as a bit of a surprise to us so thought it would be worth making that clear as it means a bit of a lack of privacy when going back to the house for drinks in your Speedo .Overall, we had a lovely time and would very much recommend this as a venue.

Our stay was amazing - As a former Hotel Accommodation Manager I have always had high standards and this beautiful cottage did not disappoint ! It was fresh and smelled beautiful with designer furnishings and absolutely immaculately clean throughout. We are non-smokers and have no pets; so for me it was a perfect retreat. It was in a great location to explore the area of art galleries and many small beaches. Sam, our host was most welcoming and had great attention to detail. We would love to stay again and from all your history of fantastic reviews we shall have to book well in advance for next summer 2026. Thank you. x

The cottage was small but very beautiful inside. Immaculately clean. The only downside was the garden was not accesible from the cottage, it was behind the parking area. Which with having a dog meant going outside everytime the dog wanted to go out.

We had such a special weekend staying at Gwynant cottage, it was absolutely gorgeous inside and a lovely cosy setting for our young family. The personal touches, including a welcome package with drinks and snacks / milk etc was very appreciated after a long car journey with the children and it was excellent to have plenty of towels and even robes provided. The cottage had everything we needed and was very well equipped for cooking too, it feels like a home away from home. We can’t wait to come and stay again, hopefully for longer next time. We had a fantastic stay, the cottage is perfect, beautifully furnished and everything you need - as well as things that you didn’t even know that you needed! The beds were super comfy and everything has a luxurious feel. We loved the hot tub - we had to ask for help to light it, but the help was immediately there.

The cottage was exactly as pictured and in a great location. Everything was as advertised except there was no wood left for the hot tub or the wood burning stove inside. It was quite cool during our stay and a fire inside would have been nice. The hot tub was preheated when we arrived but there was no wood left for us to use the next day. Host did arrange for a neighbor to drop off some wood but it was not enough to get the hot tub to desired temp. We still enjoyed what we could but it was a bit frustrating. Aside from that, everything else was lovely.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet village by the sea. Immaculate inside and very comfortable- like home, with everything you need. The garden was set out to perfection for entertaining and relaxing. The hot tub was easy to use despite it needing a fire to heat the water. We had a great stay and didn’t need to travel far to explore the local area as it is all very close by. Will definitely be returning for a second holiday.

We had a perfect weekend in this gorgeous cottage. Sam had the hot tub ready for when we arrived and a selection of goodies! The cottage was spotless and we loved the decor. The outdoor area had comfortable furniture, lovely plants and was not overlooked making it a great place to lounge after using the hot tub. Sam has obviously gone to great lengths to ensure that her visitors feel at home and have everything they need for a relaxing break. We will definitely return!

Had a very relaxing long weekend, the cottage is both very homely and comfortable but also beautifully decorated throughout. You can see Sam’s flare as a designer. The cottage was spotlessly clean and we very much enjoyed our little goodies on arrival. Sam had even provided us dressing gowns for the hot tub. Which was itself bliss. Also the coffee machine is rather good, if you’re coming bring some filter coffee for a nice coffee in the morning. Sam was a lovely host and really helpful

Myself and my best friend stayed here for two nights for some down time and to recharge. It was perfect - even more lovely than it looks in the photos with loads of lovely touches! Sam was easy to contact and fantastic when we discovered we didn't know how to light the wood burning hot tub - she really went out of her way to help us! The hot tub was so relaxing and lovely, especially after I had thrown myself in the sea. It's also a really quick walk to the beach, which is beautiful and the headland has some great walking/running routes. Thank you so much, we're already trying to work out when we can come back!

A really lovely cottage, laid out and decorated beautifully. It wasn’t the cheapest in the area (you pay an additional fee for the hot tub) but it was totally worth it - the perfect place for a get away, would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely relaxing stay. The cottage is very cosy and has everything you need. The only recommendation is there could ideally be another small sofa or comfy chair to relax in but appreciate space is limited. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back!
