About this apartment rental
On the last floor of Galigai Tower, mentioned in Dante's Divina Commedia, this delicious apartment will make you dive in the history. Wonderful view on the Dome of the Cathedral and the convenience of being in the heart of the historic center and the Florentine life, two steps from Palazzo Vecchio and Ponte Vecchio. As in the days of Dante, you will climb a narrow and steep stair, therefore we advice against luggage too heavy, but we assure that the experience will be unforgettable.

Great location in the heart of all the tourist destinations. Tons of dining options close by as well as a produce stand and small grocery store if you prefer to use the kitchen area. I particularly appreciated the accurate description of the stairs - it worked great for us, but would not be a good fit for someone with mobility issues. The check-in process required a video call upon arrival, which was a little challenging because my phone is old and my connection was spotty amidst all those thick stone walls. The owner was great and we were able to get in using What's App texting instead and I had a great signal once connected to the provided wifi.

Host was helpful for locating and accessing the property, as the building numbers are not consecutive. Once located, it was very convenient location to major attractions in Florence, including the best dining. The steep stairs were daunting but manageable. Being an old tower, the stairs were comparable to climbing to the top of the Duomo.
