About this cottage rental
Higher Mullacott Farm Cottages where Dolly's Barn is located are nestled within the foothills of the North Devon coast, providing the ideal country properties to explore the wider North Devon area and Exmoor. With buildings dating back to the time of the Domesday Book, the cottages are able to combine period charm with modern day elegance, think wood beans meet contemporary decor.
Dolly's Barn sleeps 11 (+ cot) in six bedrooms, and provides the ultimate get away cottage for large families, and groups of friends - all set in a property full of period features.
Lovingly restored the cottage sits within 3.5 acres of communal gardens and paddocks, making it the perfect property to escape to the country. With its excellent location, it is easy to explore North Devon and beyond from Higher Mullacott Farm. There is even a children's play area onsite for the little ones to enjoy.
The beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton are all less than a 15 minute drive, and Exmoor with its pretty villages and rugged landscape is half an hour away.
Ideal for larger family groups and celebrations, Dolly's Barn has plenty of space and character with sloping ceilings, beams and stone walls that beautifully combine with modern elegance. Less able bodied guests can also enjoy the cottage with a downstairs double bedroom complete with en-suite shower room.
The large open plan lounge/kitchen area has three large comfortable sofas clustered around a LPG wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large range electric oven and two fridges, meals can then be enjoyed at the wooden dining table, which easily seats the whole family for relaxed meals or special occasions.
Upstairs, there are five further bedrooms, a double with en-suite bathroom, two pretty twin bedrooms, a lovely single with Victorian style day bed, and the Master Bedroom featuring a king-size bed and en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom with bath and electric shower. Outside the cottage there are places to enjoy alfresco meals or watch children play.
For groups of up to 17, Dolly's Barn can be rented with its sister cottage Aggie's that sleeps up to six in three bedrooms and is located just across the courtyard.
Please note unfortunately, we are unable to welcome pets or same sex groups at Higher Mullacott Farm Cottages.

The Barn was a delight to stay in. We were three families and there was plenty of room for everyone. The accommodation was clean, well presented and well equipped. The beds were comfortable with warm duvets, and there was a children’s playground close by for the children. I would recommend and stay again.

We have just returned from a fabulous week staying at dolly’s barn .
It is our third time staying in the barn although the first Xmas there.
There was such a warm welcome with a beautiful tree and tasteful decorations around the property. They also provided a very generous festive welcome pack.
The property is well equipped, very clean, warm and comfortable and ideal for a family break. The downstairs en suite is ideal if you have elderly relatives in the party.
We look forward to returning .
