Hotel was within 3 minutes of the harbour, beach, quayside restaurants, George & Dragon pub and public parking.
Our little top floor flat had front casement windows opening to the harbour and a rear bedroom window facing the old church tower.
Our host, Harriett was both helpful and gracious explaining nearby scenic and historic sites.
Lower floor halls seemed a bit musty but never reached our 3rd floor climb.

The location is fantastic, next to the harbour and most of the pubs and restaurants. You can go on great walks from here.
Harriet, who is managing the flats, is great and she told us where to go, eat and what to do in case we needed ideas.
Small but perfectly equipped.
The sound insulation is poor, we could hear a lot from the upstairs flats, at all hours. The bed mattresses are a bit on the tough side for our taste and the curtains could do with blackout lining.

I'm sorry this has taken so long to do, dear Harriet. I can't believe how the time has flown. Thank you so much for your hospitality and great kindness.
The beds were super-comfortable and there was a seagull family with three fluffy chicks on the roof behind my room - very cute to observe. We loved the harbour view from the lounge, and the cheerful lounge decor. (The decor was pleasing throughout.)
The kitchen was very well-equipped and I appreciated a couple of glasses of that thoughtful bottle of wine with our seafood from S&P (for potential guests reading this, it's on the harbour in front of the property and has a big orange umbrella.)
We were staying during very hot weather but fans were provided, and sometimes just the breeze through the open windows was enough to keep things comfortable.
It was good to have the opportunity to recycle items into the bins provided.
It was perfect.

The accommodation was perfect and the proximity to the town, shops, beach and attractions was beyond perfect. We liked that we could park up for our duration and everything was easily accessible and there was plenty to do. We spent time swimming and were able to pop back to shower off and get changed with ease.
You can't control the weather so can't blame the accommodation but being on the top floor and heat rising meant that it was uncomfortably warm especially while trying to sleep. Thank goodness for the fans that were provided

Excellent location a few yards from everything you could possibly want; car park round the corner, the harbour with numerous boating / excursion options, 3 pubs, a very good café across the road serving good value breakfasts and lunches, Ice cream shop round the corner, fish and chip shops, restaurants and coctail bar. The flat was very clean and had a very well stocked kitchen with dishwasher. Also only 100m from Damien Hirsts statue Verity which along with the Devon coast scenery is stunning. A number of small beaches and coves, plus proximity of the coastal paths make it an excellent base to explore the area. Finally, Harriet was very responsive and very friendly.
The shower doors didn't close properly so it was tricky trying to angle the shower to not leave puddles on the floor, especially as shower is quite small. The decor and furnishings are generally a bit dated but its functional and it worked for myself and adult son for a couple of days. The overhead lights in kitchen/lounge at night are very bright, it could be more homely if there were a couple of lamps. Being so close to pubs it can get a little noisy in bedrooms, especially on warm nights with windows open but it quietens down after closing time. Car parking in summer is £16 per 24 hours so just be aware to budget for that.

The appartment had a great location with view over the habour. There was plenty of space with separate bedroom, lounge and kitchen. It was nice to be able to store food in fridge and cook sometimes.
The wifi was slow. Parking was always available nearby, but it was £16 per day in council carparks.

Fabulous views of the harbour from our lounge and twin bedroom, right in the centre of the harbour. Host was excellent, rooms immaculate, useful information left out for us. Little extras made all the difference. Car park close by

Harriet was very welcoming
Parking has to be in a Council car park; it’s nearby but not cheap

Brilliant location, easy walking distance to central Ilfracombe, great view over harbour. Adequately equipped for 2, bed comfy.
Very noisy seagulls at 4 in the morning but that's not the accommodation's fault! 44 stairs up to the flat but we knew that before we started. Detailed cleaning could have been better. No fire instructions that we could find.

The view was very good. The apartment is well stocked with cleaning products and kitchen utensils.
There was a lot of dog hair in the apartment. I know they are dog friendly but could of been cleaner. The rug in the longe especially bad. The neighbours were very noisy. We had two young kids and on one night one the guest above us went out and clearly left their dog on it’s own and was constantly barking till gone 10pm. Stopping our kids from going to sleep. The guest opposite had their TV on loud every day as well.

location was amazing with lovely views of the harbor. The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed (except a cheese grater)
In hindsight I think it would have been better if we had been ground floor as we had 2 dogs but then we wouldn’t have had the lovely view.
