Lundy stopover in Ilfracombe

Location ideal though it did take a few wrong turnings to find it. But once found it was a treasure. Very clean and comfortable room with all facilities you would expect and more. Breakfast arrangements excellent with very good choice and very well organised. In addition, hosts provided additional tea and coffee making supplies of every variety. Parking options were ideal for those like ourselves who were staying on Lundy for several days.

I don’t think there was anything that could be said that was negative.

So beautiful place I thoroughly enjoyed my stay very friendly hospitality and very close to the beach only 5 minutes to drive , in the farm my son was so happy to see jumping goats on trampoline it was so funny 😆, Very delicious breakfast , we will definitely come back again!!!

Lovely location the people are about all day,nothing was to much trouble. Very relaxed atmosphere and very friendly animals . We had 3 days of brilliant weather and it rained as we left. Food was easy to get in Ilfracombe some open till 8pm.

The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Close to the depot restaurant (walking distance) which offers good food at reasonable prices

The location was good and there is ample parking.

I was disappointed to discover the price I paid was double what they normally charge for a solo traveller. I thought the breakfast was below the standard I would expect from a B&B. It was provided in a paper bag to be eaten in my room or elsewhere. The "continental" consisted of shop bought pain au chocolat, muffin, a cup of chopped fruit, a carton of orange juice and a granola bar. It was disappointing as restaurants are now open and I can dine in one of those no problem, but I couldn't have the normal breakfast experience of a B&B. That and the walls are extremely thin (not their fault per se but something of note if you're a light sleeper.) I could hear a gentleman downstairs snoring, I heard the entirety of Rocky and 22 Jump Street from the adjacent room, along with their swearing and arguments. And an episode of 24 hours in A&E which ran until 1 a.m.

The owner explained that the range of breakfast was curtailed by Covid regulaions. It was just adequate as well-prepared but little choice. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The owner answered my questions about pubs and restaurants near bye.

The room (2) was large with a flat screen TV and a table with 2 chairs. This is a family room with a double and a single bed, it's modern and clean. Breakfast is good offering a good choice and served by the very friendly owners. Really good value for money. Will stay again
