About this villa rental
**Beginning April 1st, the spa will be temporarily closed to allow for core drilling of new plumbing. The construction phase is expected to take approximately three (3) weeks, weather permitting.**
HILTON HEAD ISLAND. Main Sail – a luxurious villa complex on Hilton Head Island overlooking Shelter Cove Marina in Palmetto Dunes resort. Each villa features water views from almost every room, screened porch, two master suites, and many upgrades. A private gated entrance leads to the centrally located Main Sail complex with beautifully landscaped grounds. Amenities include an expansive adult pool and spa, children’s wading pool, and grilling area. Enjoy strolling the extensive walkways around Shelter Cove Marina, which offers an array of wonderful restaurants and shops. Convenient bike paths lead to the beach in Palmetto Dunes. Main Sail also has elevators to all floors.
This 5th floor penthouse condo has been completely renovated, no children under the age of 12 permitted. As you enter you are greeted with huge marina views. Walking into the condo you will notice all of the high end finishes, from the hardwood floors to the beautiful kitchen to all of the brand new décor. The dining room is open to the rest of the great room and seats 6-8 people comfortably. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and bar seating for 2. The living area has the best views in the house! The living room features a sleeper sofa, love seat, club chair, large FSTV/DVD, separate desk area and a cozy fireplace. There are 2 sliding doors leading from the living area to the 2 porches. The open patio has 4 glider chairs overlooking the marina. The screened in porch can be accessed from both the living room and the master bedroom. This porch has a table for 4, and comfortable wicker furniture, perfect for lazy afternoons reading a book.
This condo offers 2 master suites. The first has a king bed, FSTV, sliding door access to the screened porch, walk-in closet, and a private bath with jetted tub and separate shower, double vanity and a FSTV. The second master has 2 queen size beds, FSTV, door to open patio, walk-in closet, and a private bath with jetted tub and separate shower. The third bedroom has two twins, FSTV, and a private bath with shower/tub combo. This fabulous villa is perfect for those guests looking for the perfect vacation escape on Hilton Head!

The location was clean and furniture was in good condition. However, given the location and price, improvements should be made. Toilet paper is the lowest possible grade, no tissues anywhere, wrong size coffee filters were provided, lots of wine glasses but no wine opener (we bought one and left it there), ceiling fans are noisy. In the pool area, for all of Mainsail, only one grill is working. The igniter on one does not work and ther is no method to light it otherwise. This was a problem because more than one family was attempting to cook at the same time. Logistics were tough.

We’ve rented this unit several times now and are so spoiled with the decor, location, and the view.
This unit will always be our choice when coming to HHI.
The only minor nuisance about this stay is that there were two lights bulbs burned out (kitchen bar can light and master shower).
Still a 5 star experience!!

Very clean, well-appointed unit facing Shelter Cove Marina. Updated 3-bedroom penthouse with nice furnishings and comfortable beds, sleeps up to 8. Small kitchen adequate for meal prep and entertaining. Two porches facing marina and Tuesday fireworks, one is screened. Pool and grill area nice for after the beach. Covered parking.
