About this house rental
Putting together a meeting and wanting a unique meeting location, this could be your spot!
There is what I call a "Petticoat Junction" type of train that comes thru about 3-4 times a day during the week, but not usually on the weekend. The kind you remember wanting to count it's cars, that goes slow enough to wave to the conductor or if you as of late, I watch my new foal dance in circles as it goes by.
When the animals are here, if you would like to collect the eggs and see the animals that can be arranged as long the farm rules are adhered to. Temporarily there are no animals on the property.
This is a non-smoking environment so when you can really breathe the fresh air. Throughout most of the year a beautiful little creek runs through the property.... some days, our waterfront property looks more like a lake than a creek.
We welcome Cowboys and Cowgirls coming in for a show at the MSU Pavilion or Ingham County Fairgrounds (both within 4-6 miles). Just leave your boots on the porch, if you know what I mean!
It is a very quiet area, so it is fine to enjoy conversations around the fire pit, and enjoy the stars at night, but you do need to keep the noise level down. Any larger group get togethers other than registered guests need to be approved first. (please make sure you ask about the fire pit rules in advance, if you think you might want to enjoy the fire-pit, county has a steep fine if you don't abide by them).
I used to spend a lot of time on the road, so I wanted to create a space that truly was relaxing for the business traveler also. You will find although the house has the rustic charm and beautiful original floors... we put a great shower in, nice linens and different types of mattresses and toppers including a sleep number in the Master and updated or new appliances in the kitchen and a washer and dryer by the shower.
