About this house rental

This is a wonderful, spacious family vacation getaway house, right on beautiful, spring-fed Hemlock Lake! Custom built in 2005 with 3,000 plus sq. footage, it has granite kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, sturdy dining table that seats 12, large kitchen island with seating, wrap-around outdoor deck with table & chairs, massive stone fireplace, and full finished basement with pool table, kitchenette, full bathroom, and queen bed sleeping area.

There is a lovely view of the lake from master bedroom suite and from most of the house, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms, and a separate laundry room. Guests may use the board games, kayaks, row boat, and canoe that come with the house. Enjoy an outdoor fire in our newly renovated fire pit area.

This would also be a nice spot for a business, church, or large family retreat. It is a quiet and relaxing home, with many opportunities for water sports and other local activities.

Guests must provide their own linens: bed, bath, beach, and kitchen.

Stay was great. Cleaned very thoroughly on check out morning and have yet to receive the cleaning refund. Reached out to owners and no response. Would not have wasted my time cleaning.

Clean, well kept. Sofa bed uncomfortable for older adult. Since most of the group was seventy or older the stone steps were hard to maneuver. We walked up and down the grassy hill instead which was not easy with suitcase and other things we needed to bring. Because of all of the openings in the walls, voices carried from the loft rooms to the main floor. The eating area is great for a large group. We moved things around in the basement and had a couple of friends that teach dance, do a series of dances for us. Everyone thought it was a great place for game playing and just relaxing. The view of the lake is wonderful and very peaceful on the deck.

We enjoyed this property quite a bit. It was clean, spacious enough for a large amount of guests, owners were friendly, beautiful views of the lake, etc. This property does not come with linens which was new to everyone in my group, which ended up working out without issue.

This house is perfect. So many bathrooms and bedrooms. The outside with all the available paddle boards, kayaks and canoe is perfect. We enjoyed everything.

House was nice and had everything you would need in the kitchen. The owners were responsive. The listing did not say we needed to bring our own sheets when we booked so that was a suprise to us. The king bed is in a loft that has a beautiful view of the lake which is nice but VERY bright, there are no shades and it lacks privacy. Just be aware of that and plan accordingly.

Beautiful property. Easy to get to. Plenty of space for our group of 9 with a few people coming and going over the course of the week. Lots of family time. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and just relaxing on the porch. Very quiet and peaceful place.

House was awesome! Everything was great! Only down fall was no deck ladder to get into water….a utility ladder was in the water at the end of the dock….not safe for elderly people-asked the neighbors to use their ladder.

My group really enjoyed the opportunity to stay for a week at this house. It was great that there were 4 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms along with kayaks to use on the lake. Second time we rented and were not disappointed. Sitting on the deck, playing pool, or just floating in the lake was enjoyed by all.

We had a great time at Hemlock Lake. The house was clean and perfect for our large group. Had some rain and the lake was treated during our stay so we missed 2 lake days, but we made up for it at the large table doing crafts and playing games. The men fit in a game of golf. The boys fished non-stop. We would definitely pick this property again!

This house is much larger than the pictures would lead you to believe! The wall of windows in the great room offer the most gorgeous views of the lake. The wraparound deck is shaded most of the day (in mid-June), so we were still able to be outside during our stay's unusual heat wave.

My parents, siblings and our families loved our stay at this house! The ages ranged from infant, toddlers, kids, teens, middle aged and up! There was plenty of room for us all and something for everyone. We've stayed at several different homes over the years and we all agreed this was it! This is our 2nd vacation at this home. We had a large group of 15 adults and still had plenty of space. The lake views from the living room are gorgeous! We stayed entertained the entire week utilizing our boat, the house kayaks, and canoe. Fishing was good as well! The only issue we had was with 15 adults is we ran out of room for trash and could not find anywhere that was open to take the extra trash. If you plan on staying and not leaving for a week with a large group please consider this. There is a place only open on Sunday’s on Blair Road not far from lake house that takes trash and they charge $2 per bag.

A beautiful property with a stunning view of Hemlock Lake. There were 7 of us and we were very comfortable in this spacious house. It is located in a quiet neighborhood so very little traffic noise. It was a wonderful experience for all of us.

The place was beautiful and lake was very nice. Had a blast with the lake toys. Our family enjoyed golfing nearby, swimming, fishing and even putt putt , go-carting and laser tag in Coldwater. Thanks for a wonderful 4 days.

The house was beautiful and had enough room for all of us to fit comfortably. The view from the porch is amazing! The yard was a little smaller than expected. But we were still able to have a small blow up pool for the youngest kids and play corn hole. The lake was a little mucky closer to the shore for swimming. But if you go in the lake at the end of the dock it isn’t too bad. The family enjoyed fishing from the dock as well as using the canoe and boat to fish. The neighbors are very friendly. Overall everyone enjoyed their time at the lake house!

We woke up to a beautiful view every morning...magical lake view from the master bedroom and living room. Plenty of space for a large family/friends gathering. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. Only 15 minute drive to Hillsdale College. Great place to relax and experience God's peace. Enjoy!

We had a terrific stay at this property. The lake itself is great, and with the kayaks we were able to get lots of lake town. The kitchen/living room is a great place to hang out as a larger family and is well stocked. The hosts were great at communicating, and we had zero difficulties overall. Any negative reviews seem to be from folks who don't read the full details, make sure you do and you'll have no problems.

We loved our stay at the house. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths on the top level. Living/Dining/Kitchen ares is wide open with terrific views. 2 more bedrooms a bathroom and utility room on this level. Basement is great and includes a bar, pool table, card table, bathroom, and a nook with a bed. More great views. Outside is a great upper deck overlooking the lake, a patio and fire pit on the lower level and various water equipment to enjoy the lake. Family joined us for lunch on Saturday and it was perfect for our group 8 + 2 children to enjoy the weather, the lake and each other’s company in this well equippped home. Thanks for the great stay!

Rented the place for a week with another couple and our 3 kids together. Property owners were very helpful and responsive. The place was clean and beautiful. Had a blast kayaking, swimming and relaxing. Kids fished and played in water all day. Was spacious and couldn't have been a nicer week. The master bedroom has a beautiful sunrise every morning, but you are getting up early. Only regret was having to leave.

The pictures do not do this place justice! Unreal property located right next to the lake... The living/dining/kitchen are all 1 large room with a wall of windows ideal for watching sunrises and sunsets. Could NOT be more satisfied with this home.
