Step back in time and unwind at this cozy lakeside cottage, a peaceful retreat that sleeps up to 10 guests. Tucked into a quiet, wooded setting on Drummond Island’s south shore, this home—originally established in the 1940s—offers timeless charm paired with modern comforts.
Spend your days enjoying the simple things: kayaking along the shoreline, swimming in the clear water (water shoes recommended), playing games, or working on puzzles together. The screened-in porch overlooking the lake is the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation, while the large picnic table invites everyone to gather for meals outdoors.
The property includes a dock for your boat, and the rocky shoreline is ideal for exploring on foot or by kayak—offering a true Up North experience right outside your door.
Inside, the main floor features the primary bedroom and a full bath, while the loft includes two additional sleeping areas, each with two full beds—perfect for larger groups or families.
Quiet, nostalgic, and full of character, this cottage is the kind of place where lasting memories are made.
The home's water source is filtered lake water. Please bring bottled water or a Brita water filter for drinking.
Jeeps, Side by Sides and ATVs are welcome, however you must trailer SxSs and ATVs to the trailheads since they are not permitted on M134/Channel Road.

We were drawn to this log cabin in the woods on Whitney Bay! The rustic charm was amazing with a cozy atmosphere ...... very tranquil. The water was so beautiful. Everything was very clean, neat and organized. The surrounding wooded property was a haven for deer and fox during our stay. We had zero issues with checking in and out. Drummond Island is a gem. We would love to come back for another visit!

We were familiar with this property as it is within walking distance to where our parents lived on the Island for 28 years. Needing accommodations for our Matriarch's celebration of life, and discovering it on VRBO, we immediately booked it. It is a timeless Drummond log home surrounded by cedar trees. One bedroom downstairs with a double, and two upstairs bedrooms, each with doubles tucked under the eaves. The living area is huge with a oversized stone fireplace. The kitchen is small but with everything you need. A short walk down the slope in front and you're at the water. Our family had five places booked but chose this one to gather for our last evening there with a fire in the firepit by the waterfront. It was the perfect ending.
