About this house rental
This beautiful home sits in front of the Potagannissing Bay on Lake Huron to watch freighters go by. The bay's waters are rich in freshwater fish. The home is close to ATV trails and hiking trails. You can ride SxS directly from the house.Two golf courses nearby. The best sunsets you will ever see. There is a large dock on the property for boaters. The home has 3 bedrooms,1 king bed, 1 queen, and 2 twin beds and 2 full bathrooms. Features a laundry room with washer and dryer. There are 2 kayaks for your use. The waterfront is rocky so bring your water shoes. The dock does have a ladder off the end and is sandy on the left side of dock. Approximately 3 feet deep at dock however, the water levels change. Firepit in the front yard with chairs and swing. There is also a rustic cabin on the property to sleep another 8 people comfortable. The cabin will be rented automatically after you book with more than 6 people. If you do not book with more than 6 people there will be an extra charge for cabin request, cleaning fee and extra people fee. So total 14 people.

We vistied Drummond Island for our annual fall color tour. This was the 1st time for 2 of the couples, we had been there one time before.The house was perfect, the view was spectacular and we had a great time on Dummond Island.Tessa gave great recommendations - Pins for pizza, Esther's for Mexican and Northoods for drinks, live music and dancing.

The location in great for Drummond Island. The house is fine to stay in, but could use a really deep cleaning. The sheets and towels need to be replaced. The owner was very good about contacting us initially and we let her know afterwards about the cleaning issues and she stated all would be rectified. She was easy to work with via texting. When booking - be careful of any extra people. The listing is not clear that you will be charged for extra people (children included) as well as charged an extra cleaning fee to use the cabin. Overall, a very good place to stay. We recommend it.

Pros- the house is large large & has plenty of parking (we had 4 trucks/trailers). House was fairly clean, plenty of hot water for the group, & kitchen has enough stuff to get by. The owner was accommodating & let us check in a bit early (we arrived prior to check in time).
cons -The house does smell like it used to be smoked in (a long time ago).
The security cameras sometimes follow you around and randomly shines a bright light in the evening which gets kind of annoying.
On to why our group would not stay here again - Saturday evening, I received a payment request for $250 stating we booked for 6 adults/7 kids & we had 10 adults. I responded that one family in our group was not staying at our house & had another rental down the road. They were not able to stay with us, as it would put us over the 14 person limit. We had 12 stay at the house. The response I received “I must say they have been at the house the entire time you have been there so not sure how much time they are spending at the other rental.”
This was central location for rides, dinner, drinks, and games- but then they’d head back to their rental for shower & bed
From her comment & camera activity, they are watching you a good portion of the time (kinda creepy), which explains why the lights were randomly turning on and moving. This happened both Friday & Saturday night, & Sunday morning.
The payment request was canceled, but being watched from the security cameras almost the entire time was unsettling.
