About this house rental

Welcome to no.5 Ranelagh Road. Keepers Cottages are delighted to offer this fabulous townhouse which has recently been completely renovated to an extremely high standard by the current owners.
This elegant, spacious coastal townhouse is located just minutes from the seafront, bustling high street and the majestic Deal castle. 'Victoria Town' is the lighthearted name for a vibrant area of Deal where several roads of large period properties lead from the elegant tree-lined Victoria Road to the famous Deal seafront. Here you are perfectly located to enjoy every aspect of the area.
The property would suit families or groups and can comfortably sleep 10 people. Many of the rooms have original, period features & there is soft wool carpet throughout. The fabulous living and dining area occupies the entire basement and has 3 soft leather sofas, wool rugs, squashy bean bags and a state of the art TV and sound system.
Ranelagh Road really is the perfect location for a holiday in Deal!

5 Ranelagh Road has recently been completely renovated to an extremely high standard by the current owners.The property is arranged over 4 floors and the owners really have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.
All of the bedrooms are on the upper floors and the entire basement has been turned into a stunning lounge, dining room and state of the art fully equipped kitchen.
The property is ideally suited to families and groups and has a homely yet luxurious feel.

Basement
The entire basement floor has been turned into the ultimate social space. There is a cosy reception room at the front, with 3 sofas, 2 massive bean bags, cosy rugs, subtle lighting and TV complete with all of the usual services.
The open plan space has a dining room with a large wooden dining table, which easily sits 10 people. The kitchen leads off the dining room and is fully equipped with a twin Smeg oven, American style fridge-freezer, microwave & dishwasher.

The kitchen leads to a simple, enclosed paved garden.

Ground Floor
6 Steps lead you up to the front door where you enter a sunny tiled hallway with both a cloakroom and separate shower room with hand basin. Both are fitted out to a very high standard with chrome fittings and pristine tiles.
The first luxurious master bedroom is on this floor and has one of the two king-size beds. The room is decorated in crisp white and deep royal blue with mirrored furniture, an original fireplace, white shutters and a beautiful crystal chandelier. The overall effect is one of complete glamour!
There is also a twin bedroom on this floor decorated in white with wooden bunk beds which would suit children or young teens the room has a pleasant rear window view.

First Floor
Two flights of softly carpeted stairs lead you to the second floor with another newly installed bathroom complete with a shower, wc & hand basin. Great attention has been given to the fittings and finish to ensure your comfort.
The second master bedroom is located on the second floor and has another king-size bed. This grey fabric covered bed has an integral TV in the foot base which compliments the cool grey and white tones of this room - You'd be forgiven for thinking you'd arrived at a boutique hotel when you enter this stunning bedroom.
There is a second twin bedroom with bunk beds on this floor perfect for children or young teens, this room also has a pleasant garden view.

Second Floor
Two further flights of stairs lead you to the second floor which has another large bathroom with a WC, hand basin and shower cubicle. The dormer window gives you a birds-eye view of Deal's famous Time-Ball Tower!
There is a further cosy nautical themed twin room on this floor with separate wooden beds and some storage.

From our very first contact with Keepers Cottages, until we had to delay our departure time because of a trip to 'urgent care', everything was perfect. Our booking for Malvern House in Deal was handled very efficiently and promptly. We received all the information we needed plus emailed helpful hints and local information to ensure a trouble free stay. The house itself was ideal for our family group which included two young children and a puppy. Arriving to see a lit up Christmas tree and local goodies in the kitchen, was an added bonus. The house was maintained to a high standard and equipped with everything we needed. The location, moments from the seafront, was ideal. As parking on the road has restrictions, we had to juggle with our three cars but this was a minor issue. Deal itself is very pretty with a wealth of places to eat and independent shops - all very walkable. We had a great stay and hope to return again.

The cleaner was still working when we arrived and was there for a further hour....not a great start. During our stay we had a number of small problems...oven making a rattling noise, water pressure in the showers variable to non-existent, taps in upstairs bathroom loose, no washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets, small patio garden and garden furniture in need of tlc...looking very tired. Our original booking had been swapped as our original choice became unavailable unfortunately. On the plus side, the kitchen was well equipped, the downstairs space was good for our group and the location was great ,apart from having to park the cars 5-10 minutes away from the house. We felt that we had paid q high amount for this holiday house and we didnt get value for money

Our family spent a wonderful week in Malvern House in Deal. Close to the Beach and to Deal Castle we had lovely walks and a great time in and around Deal. The house US spacious and very cosy at the same time. The kitchen is well equipped, the baths are modern and very nice. The Keepers Cottages Team is always very helpful and extremely friendly. Can‘t wait to come back next year.

Malvern House is a comfortable, clean and well-equipped family home which served as a good base for our visit as a family of 7 adults. I grew up in Deal so know it well and it was good to go back to see what has changed and what has stayed the same. There were some minor issues with the property over the course of our stay but the customer service and support provided by Keeper's Cottages was excellent and we heartily recommend them as a company. The house is situated very close to the beach on a short but busy road. There is no parking at the property so the advice from the company about where to park for free during our stay was very helpful. We had 2 cars as we had come from different parts of the country and we decided not to move the cars at all over the course of our stay- we enjoyed lots of lovely walks and runs in Deal itself (including the Walmer and Deal Seafront parkrun which was great), and we travelled to Canterbury and Sandwich by train. It is very easy to get around Deal and everything you might need is available within a short walk so it is very possible to have a good holiday without using a car.
