About this cottage rental
Step through the door and leave your coats in what used to be the ticket office – now a cheerful hallway with a quirky internal window and a desk for emailing if you need to. The cosy lounge has comfortable seating and a Smart TV, while a shower room with WC completes this level. Head downstairs to the kitchen/diner – great for family meals – which has a door out to the enclosed garden. There’s also a utility area with a tumble dryer and fridge/freezer. Back on the lounge level, another staircase leads up to four bedrooms – two king-size, a twin and a bunk room – and a blue-tiled family bathroom with a roll-top bath and walk-in shower. The top floor, tucked into the eaves, provides a quiet retreat with a king-size bed and a snug sofa so you can escape with a book (mind your head on the sloping ceiling!).
Outside, the sunny walled garden is a lovely spot for al fresco meals, with a patio set and charcoal BBQ. Parking is available just 15 metres away in the station car park (local charges apply).
