Overall the place was nice and quiet neighbors left you alone could have been a little bit more cleaner and the description for the fire pit and all that could have been more detailed

The only real positive thing I can say about the property. Is it is super closed to the diamond crater mine so that made it convenient. However, I told him I wouldn't arrive till after midnight. There were no lights on or address to indicate where our property actually was.So imagine trying to find it in the dark at two a m. Make sure you read the amenities.Because I did not. There are no towels provided. No wash class provided. No soap provided no nothing provided. The baton rug was dirty as indicated on the previous review, the ceiling. In the back bedroom looks like it's about ready to fall in.There were several places within the house that really need repairs. The property is really not maintained at all. This place was super disappointing for us.But going to the diamond crater.Mine was a great experience. I personally will not choose to stay there if we go back. And will not let me upload the photos that I have.

We had a good stay at this cabin. Its not a fancy place but it was comfortable and perfect for what we needed. Its right by the diamond mine so its a perfect location to stay while visiting the crater of diamonds. Bring your own towels!

The house could use some TLC, but it was very quaint, it was minutes away from the diamond crater state park. If you come to the park wanting to get right to work finding your riches miner's camp is the ticket.

I don't mind a little ruff but the dead cockroach on the counter when we walked in with no wash clothes, paper towels to clean it up is to much for me. There were no towels in the bathroom either. We had to go to the dollar general and buy all that stuff. I expect at least the bare minimum sorry just not for me

Cute little older house that has been partially remodeled. Still needs some work but overall it was clean and served its purpose. There are no bath or kitchen towels so bring your own. There was also no dish or dishwasher detergent. For the price, it’s a good place to rest after a day of mining diamonds.

The VRBO was rough, but it did give us a camping vibe.

There were dead roaches underneath the kitchen cabinet, and they were mouse droppings. All under the bathroom zinc, there was no heater in the bathroom, so he

I was a little hesitant to book the place due to the reviews I had read. So I was pleasantly surprised. The house was clean and wasn’t musky nor did it smell of mold. And the screen on the front was not moldy it is green from the trees it sets under. Yes the house could use a few repair. But for an old house. It’s just like the pictures show My only complaint would be that I had to bring my own towels. But other than that. The place was perfect for us and our 2 furbabies. Oh we did see a couple of small mice. But nothing a couple traps could fix We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I stayed one night of the two booked nights. Musty, ceiling falling in, lights did not work, no towels, rugs in bathrooms were disgusting, mice poop all over, sofa smelled like wet dog, could of possibly been cockroach feces in the couch, not sure, did not see any cockroaches. It was very cold, there were 3 space heaters, two of which hardly blew out anything, it did get warm eventually. The cabin was extremely creepy. The host did immediately refund my money without being asked to, that was a super plus. Overall, it is a rough cabin could definitely use some maintenance and upkeep.

Awesome! The location had everything we needed. We had the outside fire pit and the neighbors were great. Panned for diamonds on Wednesday and had a blast at the site. Will probably go again next spring.

Booked this for a trip to the Crater of Diamonds State Park with friends (4 adults, 50+)for my birthday. Its a bit more than walking distance to the park, especially if youre carrying gear/rocks, but it is a very short drive. The outside of the cabin could use a bit of maintainance, but the inside more than makes up for it! It was very clean and fresh smelling when we arrived. There is a full kitchen, but it did lack a toaster and cutting board and cookie sheet. The beds were comfortable and clean. Shower was clean and nice hot water and pressure. There is a firepit outside for bonfire evenings. Both picnic tables provided are very uncomfortable, however, I was pleasantly surprised with the good quality, comfy furniture inside the house with a few sturdy antiques, as well. The pictures on the website arent very good and really dont do it justice.
Overall, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay there and would certainly book again if we return. Its not the Hilton, but we didnt pay Hilton prices. Its a quaint little cabin in the woods. By a road.😁

Do be scared by some of the overly dramatic reviews, Its not that bad. It is a rustic cabin. What does that mean? Some of the floors are worn and uneven, the screens on the porch are rusty, there are cracks in the ceiling. None of those things ruined our 3 night stay. The cabin has two bedrooms. One has a very soft bed, the other is firm. We slept on the firm bed and it was comfortable. The couch and chairs in the living room were comfortable. TV and Internet worked. All the kitchen appliances work. The window A/C units kept us cool. The water was clean with no bad taste or smell.
There were some minor negative items. There are no towels or tissues provided. No baking sheets if you need to use the oven. There was a musty smell when you come in from outside; some people claim it is mold, but I am allergic to mold and did not have any sort of reaction. It is attached to a small shop (which is cleverly left out of the listing photos) but the shop closes at 5:00, we were never in the cabin during its open hours. The cabin is part of a larger campground, but it was very quiet day and night. The noisiest thing you may hear is some occasional "clacking" on the roof, but that is just Acorns falling from the Oak tree.
Go in with the right expectations and you will enjoy your stay.
One note about the location. It is walking distance to the park entrance, but the actual diamond crater is much farther away. You will want to drive there.

First off:
* it is NOT a cabin but an appartment that is attached to a store w a walk through door that has a rusty old slide bolt.
* You can’t see through the screen that wraps around of the front patio unless you are looking though one of the holes in it
* the ceiling plaster is falling off of the ceiling
*every light had 3 bulbs but 1 worked in every one of them 25 watts
***THE SMELL MADE ME PUKE !! ( I m not even lying !!!!)
I think the beds had the original mattresses from when it was built in the ‘50sor 60s
*I was bit by something and packed up and left!!

THE SMELL

We were there only 2 nights. However, inside smell of pets & mold are rather strong. Water or drains had a strong sulfur/sewer gas smell. Ceilings need repaired, it visible in photos. Deck & screened porch need repairs & cleaning.

I had to call to get check in info. There was mold everywhere. No towels or baking pans. Will not stay again

The musty smell and of mold was so overwhelming we minimized our time inside. My wife said it smelled like her grandma's but worse. There was a dead cockroach on the kitchen floor when we arrived. The bathroom sink had a leak and the bucket underneath had to be emptied. The ceiling in the back master bedroom was starting to come down. We had to buy bath towels and things cause they weren't provided, not even paper towels. There were no instructions for checking out other than the time so we emptied the trash and cleaned behind ourselves. We were very disappointed. This place has so much potential if properly cared for and invested in.

If you like the smell of an old canvas pup tent that's been put up wet for about 6 months and pulled out. That's what this place smells like. It is disgusting. Was there for three nights. Had never got any better. The mold and mildew on the screened in porch you couldn't hardly see through the screen. Mold build up trash all over the screen. hole in the walls in the bedroom plaster coming down off the ceiling. The sliding glass door wouldn't open all the way. Got stuck open partially all night long. Very insecure gaps under all the doors so anything can crawl in from it. This is a very disgusting place for a night.what is good about it. It was close to the park. That's about it. Oh and it had hot watera hot water

well appointed kitchen, beds comfortable/clean. No HVAC system, room heater wouldn't work, ceiling in living room coming down, screen porch in poor repair, no towels (think at least there should be) no outlet in. bathroom and no place to plug in hair dryer & use a mirror. I had asked for a number to call owner & didn't get one, I arrived late due to numerous traffic delays, used ring doorbell and said to leave a message, as I was walking away it started talking to me and told me where to go. Thomas (owner) was able to get a small heater but was inadequate nights and evenings were cold. He did give me his number. Would be a great place if a little money and effort went into it. Other close places where cheaper and better appointed probably wouldn't stay there again. Walking distance to crater was miles.

Exactly as listed. Very close to Crater of Diamonds. We will definitely stay here again. Yes, part of the ceiling PAINT is coming down. That didn’t affect us in any way.

Cabin was a bit rough could be improved. All in all it was okay and doable
2.0 / 10.0
The screened in porch has mold all over the screen, when you walk in the door the house smells like mold. The roof in the living room is falling in as well as the roof in the bedroom. There are no towels, no paper towels provided. It is not with-in walking distance unless you want to walk over a mile on a busy road with no shoulder. Floor was dirty as were the bath mats in the bathroom. The cabin has potential, but there needs to some work and deep cleaning.

Place is not worth staying at... Ceiling falling in .. in the bedroom and in the living room.. we walked in looked around and left..

If you're looking for a 5 star place to stay, this ain't it. However it met all our needs for a short stay. It's close to Crater of Diamonds State Park, had a clean comfortable bed, bathroom was clean but there were no bath linens. Everything else was provided. The outside space has beautiful moss and we enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch.

Very quiet. Had a great time. Great place for family.

From the outside it looks okay. The inside on the other hand is less than to be desired. Parts of the ceiling are falling down. The place smelled like bleach when we walked in. It looked clean. Then the roaches appeared. The beds are like sleeping on springs. Had to wash anything we used before we could use it. We didn’t use the dishwasher for the fact of the cockroaches. The only convenience is it is close to the diamond mine. It says walking distance yeah it’s about a mile and half give or take.

The property was in need of some repairs. The ceiling is starting to fall down. There is missing boards on the deck. Which is a trip hazard. The texture on living room ceiling is hanging down. There where no towels or wash rags. It was clean but had a smell. We came across roaches in the middle of the night . My wife was not happy about that.
4.0 / 10.0
We couldn't bring in our bags because of the roaches.. couldn't use the back door because of a broken board on the back deck..it could be a nice place with a little work.

Thus was a great place to stay! Despite the sweltering heat, the air conditioning and ceiling fans kept us comfortable at all times.
The cabin was neat and tidy and the beds were very comfortable. Bed linens and pillows were provided but we knew ahead of time to bring towels.
The kitchen was stocked with basic supplies which was very helpful. We didn't use the stove or oven but the full size fridge and microwave were spotlessly clean.
Very conveniently located near Crater of Diamonds park the camp ground was quiet and we felt completely safe at all times.
Our family plans to visit the area again, in cooler weather, and would 100% stay here again.

Loved our stay at the Miners house. It was perfect for My wife and I along with our English Bulldog. House was clean and ample bedding was provided. Bathroom towels are not provided if you plan on using the shower. We plan on staying again in the future.

After reading some reviews I was nervous about this rental. I was very pleasantly suprised! The only bugs we saw were actually wood roaches. Not the other. If you have ever lived in the woods in the midwest they are in the cleanest of house's. The house was dated, but extremely CLEAN. Bring a large plastic container to keep your dry goods in and there is no problem. The fact that there is only 5 min to the Creater of Dimonds state park is AWESOME. ALSO, bring towels!! But i want to say the sheets they had were very silky and clean. They also provided Netflix and other programs on the TV. WIFI is also included and works great. Located on the front porch is some screens and buckets, you can rent the rest at the park, vut if you want a cart to pull get to the park by 7:45 am and be as close to first in line.

Where to start. From the leaves clogging the gutter, to the black mold in air conditioner, the creepy door that has bolt at on top with some kind of sensor to the carpet bulge with a lot of staples, the bath tub not attached to the drain. The two full length mirrors on either side of bed facing the bed. Overall this place should be taken off your list. To be fair it is close to the park enterance, its' another two miles to visitor center. If you wanted a place close to the diamond mine this not the place to stay. But if you want ghost experience this is it.
6.0 / 10.0
It is a rustic cabin, but with running hot water. The property was clean in some areas, but not others. There were no towels and it only sleeps 4 unless you bring sleeping bags yourself. It is a good location for going to Diamond Crater state park and check in was easy.
10.0 / 10.0
It served its purpose. I felt it could have been cleaner but it wasn’t really dirty. It was nice and quiet mostly, and it was so close to the crater.
2.0 / 10.0
Ceilings were failing down in several place, spider webs all over the walls, linen on beds were not changed( creases were previous person slept in bed). I had to go buy new sheets and comforters.Gum stuck on floor, bags of garbage on deck, hole thru boards on deck(at least 18"x18") obvious someone's foot went through. Hot water in kitchen sink did not work. Overall this place should be condemned!!! No one in the office, EVER!!! For what I paid for a 3 night stay this place should have been a 5 * cabin, it was at least a -3 and that would be a generous rating. If orbits is going to have properties like this one, I'll go elsewhere.

The camp staff are extremely hospitable. The cabin in rural Arkansas met our expectations. Awesomely convenient to Crater of Diamonds. Pro Tip - Do not trust your GPS driving there - old mining dirt roads are selected and not safe. Use a map. We had a great time!!!
