Relax among the palms at Reeled Inn on Beautiful Lake Gaston

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cant wait to visit again! The home was very clean and had lots of space for our family. There was plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and even had a covered sheltered to park under. We were especially pleased that we were able to bring along my grand-dogger as the home was pet friendly. We really enjoyed the ping pong table and liked being able to launch our kayaks and access our boat right from the property. The dock and deck was relaxing and perfect for morning coffee or relaxation after a day of play. Watching the deer play in the back yard was a nice added touch. The owner was responsive to phone calls, and was very friendly and personable. He was never bothered by my calls and always assured that we could call him anytime with questions.

The host was fantastic!!! Loved the house, all the little details were great and loved the set up. It was perfect for our family. Thanks for a great Thanksgiving break at you house!!!!

Clean house, great location

The inside of the house was great, we enjoyed the layout of each floor and the rooms. The kitchen was well stocked and the living spaces felt like home. The bedrooms had ample storage & closet space and the bathrooms were nice. The outside of the house was disappointing. It desperately needed cleaning, there were cobwebs and bugs' nests everywhere. Perhaps we were the first patrons of the summer and the property just hadn't been cleaned up yet. The boathouse and dock were covered in cobwebs as well, making it an unusable space. From the pictures online, it would appear as though you swim around the dock but you are actually at the end of the cove in 3'-4' of water. The boathouse worked great to dock my boat but not so much for swimming and lounging. The house offers kayaks to use but they were not clean either. They were left out on the ground, filled with water & leaves. The property is well shaded and there is tons of wild life. We were very entertained by the deer we saw multiple times a day, we even saw a fox across the cove. The grill and Blackstone were nice to use and in good condition. All in all, we enjoyed being in the house and on the water. If you are planning to hang on the dock and swim at the house, then I would recommend finding one in deeper, larger coves or water. The owner was easy to communicate with and the check in and out process was easy as well.
