About this house rental
Our home sits in a large, quiet cove just 100 yards off the Main Lake. With over 160' of decked bulk headed waterfront, a 1400 square foot double boat house with fish cleaning station and sunning dock. You have everything you need to enjoy the sun and fun outdoors including 2 kayaks, a paddle board, fishing poles and built in rod holder at the dock. Feel free to park your boat beside our boat house or inquire about our pontoon rental. The water at the dock is perfect for swimming, floating, and relaxing. Water level gradually deepens from 1-2 feet at the edge up to 4-5 foot water depth at the end of the dock, perfect for the little ones to play and learn to swim. We are ten minutes from the Food Lion & other amenities. It is a quick boat ride to the restaurants, marinas, Goat Island and the Eaton Ferry Bridge where the sunset views are amazing!
The summertime offers many activities in local towns such as movie nights and free concerts on the weekends in Littleton. This little town has a lot to offer with lots of small restaurants and businesses to check out!
The house offers a large yard in both the front and rear, perfect for outdoor games and evening bonfires in the fire pit (firewood is not provided). There is a large covered porch with plenty of seating that offers beautiful views, a TV and has a full outdoor bathroom on the lake side of the home. There's even a small seasonal herb garden to enjoy!
The first floor hosts the livingroom/dining area with seating for up to 20 people, as well as 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a half bath. The first bedroom is a queen with a half bath and the second bedroom has a king sized bed. There are 6 bedrooms on the second floor with 4 king beds, 4 twins and 1 double bed. All of the bedrooms have smart TV's. The game room is located on second floor which provides a Foosball table and Playstation 3 with games. There are also 2 additional full bathrooms upstairs. Wi-Fi and Cable services throughout. 70” TV in living room, 55” TV in other living area.

Perfect for large family gatherings. We were able to get all our kids and their families together for the first time in 3 years. The house is smartly decorated, with not many knick-knacks for the little ones to get into. We had 2 toddlers, and the most "trouble" they got into was the tupperware. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has everything you would need. Market, liquor store, Family Dollar, and gas station are within 10 mins. Perfect spot to spend a week doing absolutely nothing but relaxing on the water. We rented the boat, went out a few times a day, and there are great places to stop and swim on the main Lake. With this being on a cove it great, you don't get the large waves from the traffic on the other side. The only suggestion would be to bring water shoes. Some "littles" may not like the feeling of the sand and shells on their feet. Highlights of the week: a birthday for the two 2-year-olds, an engagement, my granddaughter caught her first fish, boating and swimming in the lake, paddleboarding and kayaking. It was so great to be able to relax and enjoy family time. This was a great week.

One could not ask for a better host or better property for a lake vacation. The house is immaculate and stocked with every need you could anticipate met with top notch quality. Highly recommend for an enjoyable vacation experience. The host goes above and beyond to assure guests are taken care of. Will definitely return!!

Every year at the end of May our family gathers for a week long vacation. Normally we go to the NC beaches. To appease my husband, who grew up going to lakes in Michigan, we decided to skip the ocean and choose a lake instead. It was our first time vacationing at Lake Gaston. The house itself was perfect for our large group — comfortable beds, large dining area and a fully stocked kitchen. The back porch is awesome and comes in handy on rainy days. We also enjoyed spending evenings around the fire pit. The kids absolutely loved playing in the lake! The paddle board and kayaks were a big hit and we enjoyed the pontoon rides as well. Kayaking to Goat Island was one of the highlights, especially for the younger boys who imagined they were off to hunt for hidden pirate booty! We had no issues communicating with Alan, the owner. He is very pleasant and prompt with answers to questions. Wouldn’t hesitate returning to this beautiful lake!
