The Old Fashioned Farmhouse - Step back in time and enjoy the charm of our beautifully restored farmhouse, nestled in the heart of a family-run working farm. Surrounded by rolling pastures and grazing cattle, this peaceful retreat offers a truly immersive countryside experience—complete with pasture-raised beef, chicken, and eggs available for pre-order for an authentic farm-to-table stay!
Inside, the farmhouse retains its historic character with three original gas fireplaces and refinished clawfoot tubs equipped with modern shower kits. A bar cart complete with bourbon cocktail books sets the stage for a perfect evening, while the fully equipped kitchen, including spices and essential utensils, ensures you have everything you need for home-cooked meals.
Unwind on the front or back porch, where you’ll be treated to stunning farmland views, or gather around the fire pit (firewood provided) for a cozy night under the stars. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the propane grill, corn hole, and spacious yard for games, while the provided s’more sticks and Bluetooth speaker set the perfect ambiance for a memorable evening.

We’re excited to share that farm-fresh products are now available for guests! You can pre-order our pasture-raised beef, chicken, and eggs—all raised right here on the farm where you’ll be staying—for a true farm-to-table experience.
If you’d like to place an order, your items will be ready and waiting in the fridge or freezer when you check in. Just be sure to place your order at least two days before arrival and no more than two weeks in advance of your check-in date.

Click on the "air-bnb" tab on the left and add any item labeled "air-bnb" to your cart.
To add an item to your cart you will be asked to choose a fulfillment option first. Select Pickup Options, then choose The Old Fashioned Farmhouse - Vacation Rental as the location.
Use your check-in date as your pickup date.
Centrally located between Lexington (1 hour drive) and Louisville (45 min drive), and just a 15 minute drive to Shelbyville and 30 minute drive to Frankfort.

The home was beautiful. Our family and friends had a wonderful time and could not talk enough about the features of the farmhouse. The house was immaculate and the hosts were fantastic. We would definitely stay at this farmhouse again.

Wow! The farmhouse was beautiful, scenery stunning, amenities great. Immaculate inside and out. Made our first trip to Kentucky a location we want to come back to! Beds were extremely comfortable, porches a pleasure to spend time on, layout of home excellent, and kitchen a thrill to cook in…not to mention the eggs and filet mignon from the farm! Thanks for sharing your beautiful spot!

We loved our stay at The Old fashioned Farmhouse. The house had everything g we needed for our stay. Very nicely equipped. We really enjoyed our evenings by the fire pit. It was a wonderful end to our busy days visiting distilleries. I hope to stay there again in the future.
