About this villa rental
Villa for 6 people on two levels.
On the upper floor you will find:
- master bedroom with sea view terrace and bathroom. A 140 bed.
- pool side room with two 90 cm beds possibility of making a 180 cm bed
- bedroom on the Ile-rousse side with two 90 cm beds possibility of making a 180 cm bed
- for the two independent bedrooms, a bathroom with shower.
- an independent WC on the landing of the rooms.
On the garden level:
- a living / dining room, overlooking a sea side terrace, equipped with a table for 6 people and a gas barbecue.
- an open kitchen with electric oven, mixed gas / electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer.
- an independent WC
- a laundry room with washing machine and ironing board.
Outside, an arbor shelters a garden furniture. A few steps from the house, the private 8x4m swimming pool with its wooden planked beach receives deckchairs and parasols for moments of relaxation, sheltered in the heart of the maquis.
The house is located on a 5000m² plot planted with fruit trees and fitted out with irrigation basins. This family land was intended for several decades for a food crop. The children's walk is done under the supervision of the parents.
Access from the village entrance at five minutes is by a tarmac track, then more "rustic" for a few tens of meters. No need for a 4X4! ...
The village offers many possibilities for activities, municipal swimming pool, tennis, hiking, mini golf, horse riding center with organized walks, concerts, etc ... On the village square the restaurant "La Pasturella" and the hotel bar provide breakfasts, brunch, lunch and dinner at an excellent value for money. A small grocery store will allow you to shop for local products or essentials.
Regarding reservations in summer (June, July, August) reservations are made by 7-day period, not divisible from Sunday to Sunday.

We had a great time in this beautifully situated location in Balagne :-) We have enjoyed the silence from various places that this property has to offer, with a beautiful view over a valley and a bay.
The house is beautifully decorated, clean and fully equipped. Stephane is a super friendly and concerned host! We hope to stay her again!

We enjoyed our stay here. The villa was spacious and clean. We particularly enjoyed the upstairs terrace which is off the main bedroom. A great place to hide from the Corsican heat and enjoy the views. The villa is in a remote area but only a 15 minute walk to the village where there is a useful store and lovely restaurant/bar. Lovely beaches are within a 15/20 minute drive. My only disappointment (given we arrived late) was there wasn't a welcome package on arrival so had to wait until the following morning before we could get any supplies. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is very secluded, offers amazing views of the bay of Ilie Rousse and is very spacious and comfortable. We spent a lot of time at the splendid private pool. We were spoilt for choice with three outside terraces. The hosts were lovely and very helpful.

We had an amazing week in Monticello. We have 3 boys aged 10,12,15 who rated this the best villa they had stayed in (having been to France, Spain and Crete over the last years). It is a beautiful location with stunning views over the sea, and lots of space outside to enjoy this from. The house is well equipped, luxurious and clean.
The hosts are very welcoming, meeting us en route to show us the last bit of the drive. There is one 5 metre section that is rough and steep, but perfectly OK for our basic VW Touran hire car. The rest of the drive was no different to what you get used to driving round Corsica.
There is a massive Leclerc supermarket which is on easy route to/from the main beaches, all only 15-20 mins away. Going further, we had a great days to Scandola and Saleccia. My highlight was going to Ostraconi beach for the sunset. There is now a big carpark there, but the beach is virtually empty in the evening. There is a 1km walk along a path to get to the beach - just remember the way since it will be dark on the way back (we ended up finding ourselves in the local campsite!)
To summarise - this is a great villa in a great location and we would love to come back!
