About this house rental
Welcome to our beautifully renovated home that offers 60ft of private frontage on all-sports Gun Lake at the south end in the quiet, Anchor Cove. Inside you will find an open concept floor plan that is excellent for entertaining, relaxing, and living those great family memories. The kitchen opens up to the family room and the stove faces the lake so you can enjoy the views while cooking. French doors lead to the vaulted ceiling master bedroom with a slider out to the deck.
There are two spacious bedrooms on the upper level. The first has a double bed while the second has two sets of twin bunk beds. Both also have great views of the lake. The expansive three level wood deck overlooks the lake and runs the full length of the house with nice built-in bench seats so that you can fully soak in the spectacular evening sunsets. The water is shallow close to shore and offers a sand bottom that is excellent for kids of all ages to swim and relax. There are two single person kayaks with life jackets that you can use to venture out on your own. The 100’ long dock offers a 10’ x 8’ sunning platform that reaches out to deeper water so you can dock your own boat or rent one from several places around the lake.
This is a home with real neighbors who live here year round, so please be respectful of them. Parking is limited to three spaces so plan accordingly.
The excellent location is close to Gun Lake Casino, Yankee Springs State Park with its expansive sandy beaches and inflatable water slide, Golf Courses, Gilmore Car Museum and the Bay Pointe Inn, which is just across the cove. We are less than one mile from the Barry County state hunting land for those looking for a fall hunting retreat.

Absolutely beautiful house on the lake with a perfect view of Gun Lake. Everything about the place is well thought out and was a pleasure to call it home for two weeks. Great location - very near places to eat and a grocery as well as the Gun Lake Casino. The hosts are wonderful - very easy to work with and communicate immediately. Rally nice kitchen with everything you’ll need for a vacation.

Mark was there when we arrived cleaning up from the previous group. Explained how to work the keypad. The cottage was very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bed in the main floor bedroom was very comfortable. The large deck had room for everyone to relax, or play games at the table. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and floating on their tubes. The sunsets every night were beautiful. Had a great stay

Beautiful decorated lake cottage. Very clean and accommodating hosts. The sunsets were amazing. We rented a pontoon boat and had a blast. We all enjoyed floating and playing in the shallow waters at the cottage and kayaking. Bonus they had fans in bedrooms and extra pillows. We didn’t have any complaints and feel these hosts take very good care of everything. We hope to return someday! Stay because you’re Gun-a-love it!!!
