We stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday with our adult kids. Other family that lives in Madison joined us for Thanksgiving day and dinner. We had a wonderful time in this home. Kitchen is very well appointed. Living room/dining area is comfortable, spacious and cozy all at the same time. We played lots of games, cooked together and really enjoyed our time. The basement games were a hit, too, and were well used. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. Everything worked well and the hosts have really nice taste. We will stay here again if we have the opportunity.

This is one of those properties where the photos don't do it justice. Beautiful, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. We were visiting family in Madison, and it was the perfect quiet retreat.

To advertise the house as a Lake House made us think we were staying at the lake, which we weren't, nor was there a view of the lake. Of course to be fair, in the description, it says 3/4 mile from the lake. There was NO toilet paper in the bathrm except what was on the holder; the table on the deck was filthy--so we never sat there; the bathtub/shower has no grab bar, no rubber bath mat in the tub, and I slipped, didn't fall; the pump bottle of body moistureizer by bath sink was empty; in the jar in kitchen of Coffeemate, I found half & half but it curdled. If you're going to offer that product, put it in the fridge. The owner was responsive to questions like, is early check-in ok, or recs for a fish fry, but whoever manages the house is not ok.
