About this house rental
There is one bathroom with a shower and free WiFi throughout the home. Free 2 hour parking is available directly outside on the street, and is unlimited overnight. However, being so central, there’s hardly a need to hire a vehicle.
The house is cosy and quiet, despite being on the fringes of a bustling, vibrant city centre. This beautiful cottage has an old world charm that pays homage to its history.
Also nearby are the Pigeon Hole Bakery Café, Hamlet Café, Straight Up Coffee, and many restaurants and varied cuisines. Hobart CBD is a 10 minute stroll away: browse the shops on the way, stocking Tassie made gifts.
At the end of the road, starting at Hamlet Café, is the charming South Hobart Rivulet track. Meander along the rivers edge to South Hobart, and stop at the Cascade Brewery from some of Tassies finest brewed beer. You can then stroll back through South Hobart itself, browsing the antique shops, op shops, and stopping for coffee and cake at the many cafés.
Please note, the home is heritage listed. Therefore, the interior stairs are original and they are quite steep and very narrow. They won't be suitable for guests with mobility issues, but there is a queen bedroom downstairs, and the living room, kitchen, and bathroom are all downstairs.
Due to the property being contactless self check-in, the booking guest is required to complete an online registration, which will include uploading a copy of their government issued ID (e.g. driver's license or passport). With all adult bookings, the main reservation holder must be over the age of 25 years old.
Retreats Tasmania have a strict no parties, no smoking, and no pet's policy.
