About the home

"Island Holidayze" is a modern, centrally located townhouse with open plan living, an outdoor area with BBQ and upstairs balcony. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is a large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with smart TV, JVC Bluetooth speaker, XBox One with some games) providing direct access to the private, north facing entertainment deck, large Master Bedroom with walk in robe and en-suite (with shower & toilet), a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), and a separate toilet. The large downstairs Bedroom also features a WFH space with deck and chair. The polished timber staircase leads to the second floor which features another Living room (with smart TV) and entry out onto an upstairs balcony, Bedrooms 2 & 3 (each with BIR) and the main Bathroom (with shower & bath) plus a separate Toilet.

Outdoor Areas

The fully fenced courtyard (with gas BBQ and seating for 6) also has a hot/cold outdoor shower and is perfect for families with children. The single Garage has been converted into a games space (with various games including darts, two-player arcade basketball and a table tennis table) with direct access to the rear yard. There is space to park a car in front of the garage (with additional parking available on the street). The home also has a range of toys and outdoor equipment such as foam surfboards, push bikes, scooters and a skateboard (BYO safety items such as helmets).

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with standard cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso compatible coffee machine, toaster, sandwich grill, kettle, electric sandwich maker, plus a double sink, walk in pantry, large fridge, stainless steel dishwasher, stainless steel electric oven and cook top, and stone bench tops. The kitchen is also equipped with an airfryer, slow cooker, rice cooker and commercial grade kitchen knives.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There home has 4 wall mounted reverse cycle split systems; one in each of the downstairs Living Area, upstairs Lounge, Bedroom 2 and 3, plus an additional stand-alone fan and portable heater (stored in Bedroom 1) which can be used where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 8 beds accommodating up to 10 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): Two sets of Single bunks plus two Single trundle beds
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Queen bed

One of the single trundle beds stored in Bedroom 3 can be used in the upstairs Living Room.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.

We had a great short stay at the island. Good location, we were able to walk to and from shops, cafes, etc but a little further if you wanted to walk to the beach. Despite being on the mail road there was minimal traffic noise in unit 2 and the house was nicely furnished with plenty of room for adults and older teenagers. There were a few minor maintenance issues that could be improved, but nothing that impacted our stay. Loved that it was well stocked with basic condiments and cleaning supplies. The hosts were great to deal with when I had a problem while originally booking the property.
