About the home

“Casa Killara” is a gorgeous, pet-friendly home situated in central Cowes, and only a short walk to all of the restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is a large open plan Kitchen (with breakfast bar)/Dining/Lounge room (with smart TV), opening onto the generous rear Alfresco deck, plus Bedroom 4 (with BIR), a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) plus a separate Toilet off the Laundry. Upstairs is Bedroom 1 which features a smart TV and ensuite (with shower & toilet), Bedrooms 2 & 3 (each with BIR), another Bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate Toilet and the large 2nd Living Room (with smart TV).

Outdoor Areas

The spacious, sheltered alfresco (with built-in BBQ, outdoor seating for 8, ceiling fans & heaters, and wall mounted smart TV) is built in one 3 sides and has cafe blinds for the fourth, and overlooks the large, fully enclosed yard (with outdoor shower) which is suitable for pets and children. The Double garage provides parking for 2 cars, with space for another vehicle (car and/or a boat) in the driveway.

Please note: There is a security camera in the driveway. It does not view any private areas in the home.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, large fridge with ice-maker, dishwasher, 900ml electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are wall mounted reverse-cycle air conditioning units in both upstairs & downstairs living areas, plus ceiling fans in both living rooms and 3 of the 4 bedrooms (with a pedestal fan for the 4th bedroom). The alfresco area also contains ceiling mounted heaters and a fan.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 8 beds, plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 14 guests:

Bedroom 1 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (upstairs): One Tri-bunk and one King Single bed
Bedroom 4 (downstairs): One Tri-bunk and one Single bed

There is also a Queen size fold-out divan in the upstairs living area suitable for 2 adults or children.

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.

Great stay at this property which is perfect for larger groups esp kids. Place itself was fine but the management and comms could be better - no check out info and we were told bins would be emptied but this didn’t happen
