Black bear condos are a great way to experience deer valley’s mid mountain.

We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights at Black Bear 201. This is our second time staying with Abode, who is a great property manager. They are always available to help us or answer questions when needed. The unit was very nice, close to the slopes and the hot tub was key. The bedrooms are huge and plenty of hot water, even with 4 people taking showers. We cooked several nights in the kitchen and everything was provided. Only real complaint is there is no pantry to store food items, but that is a quibble. We would definitely stay there again!

We rent many properties through VRBO. This was not one of the better properties.
Pros: Great location. Easy 2-5 minute walk to Silver Lake
Bedding very nice. Plenty of bathroom towels. Could use some kitchen towels.
Very responsive staff to issues we had during our stay.

Cons: Worn carpet coming apart in places
Bathroom faucet handle was broken
Bathroom tub faucet steady leak
Hot Tub cover broken and control panel very difficult to program as it was so worn down. No directions on how to set temperature/jets. Impossible to get to control panel without being in the hot tub. Water was cold 3 of the days and unusable. Water level was low when we arrived. Maintenance had to come up and add water as heater stopped working due to low water level. Cover for hot tub got stuck between deck railing and the hot tub on first day. Impossible to move and had to have 2 maintenance people come up and move it.
Awaiting for management to get back to me on compensation for the issues we incurred while staying at Black Bear Lodge.
