I will recommend this place

Laurent the owner was very kind and helpful, we are after midnight due to train issue. The house was big and very pleasant. We had a very nice stay, definitely value for money.

Old lovely barn house great for weekend escape.

The value for money was great, very affordable and beautiful place. Perfect for a get together with friends for a weekend. The creek at the back is amazing to look at while siting on the wooden deck. Laurent the host was also very friendly and answering super fast.

Only 1 shower is usable for people of normal height, if not you can use the tub/jacuzzi but we did not want to use so much water. Neighbor was mowing the lawn right next to us during the afternoon, although we maybe should have asked him to stop.

Good weekend away for a break

I liked that the property had everything that we needed, cleaning supplies, towels, coffee machine ect.

I did not particularly like that the kid's toys were out in the open.

The house was okay, not the Hilton but it covered all our needs as it should. And the surroundings was amazing

Big, nice house with beautiful view and nature around

1. The house is huge. Everybody from our family, 2 adults+3 kids, had a separate room, there are 3 bathrooms (dusch), and 5 toilets. 2. Common room is huge, it has billiard, football and other table games. Beautiful view from the window. 3. You have direct access to the river. Yes, you have a small piece of your private river. Great for kids. Great for big companies. 4. A lot of parking possibilities. Around in radius 5 km you have a lot of WW2 memorials (we saw 3 US tanks). 5. A lot of nice and useful things in the kitchen (salt, pepper, everything what you need to cook, microwave, oven etc). 6. Tennis table 7. It is a bit close to the road, but you do not hear it. 8. Very close forest.

You need a car, no public transport. The nearest shop is by car a few km.

We had a pleasant stay and would recommend this place.

Plenty of toys and games for the whole family, including a small pool table and a petanque playfield. Picturesque view at a small river. Eco-responsible approach: home made products used for cleaning an linen washing, waste recycling, even a compost possibility. Hosts provided maps for the hiking in the area. Possibility to buy local honey. Very efficient heating, so no issues when visiting in winter months.

We didn't really mind but some furniture is a bit worn out. Main bedroom had very faint lights. The windows in the bedroom located at the attic didn't seem to have window blinds, which might be an issue in summer months, especially if travelling with young children.

Isolated place The full house for us all Quietness of other guests Fully equipped kitchen Barbecue Grocery stores open even on sunday Proximity to activities : we did the kayak on the Lesse, visit the Bastogne museum of war (we really recommend it as it is a very nicely thought museum, kids and adults loved it, and some long walkings in the forests, where we met almost no one (Covid ?) Road with speed limit of 90 km/h along the property : very noisy as people tend not to respect the limit Bed sheets smelled sweat in one of the bedrooms Bath towels didn't smell very fresh, same for kitchen towels Loads of flies : the tender did tell us about this (it is the season), but nothing was provided (like fly traps), which was a pity as the first evening, we had to fight clouds of flies to be able to cook... not very appetizing either facilities were not like expected : During Covid period, we would have expected to smell that the place had been disinfected Barbecue had not been cleaned and a very old grid was in it, decomposing. Some very mad neighbours living in the house down the path One of the bedrooms is not the 4th showed on the pictures No piano was there (we chose the place for that too) (*) Same for home cinema projector (*) Kicker was broken (*) (*) : not really an issue if it is not showed on the picture. Impossible to take a bath in 2 of the 3 bathrooms : it was more like a bud-bath

No moskito nets, you end up eating with the flies and their eggs/excrements We couldnt air the place, as the flies would enter; The kids room upstairs is not practical at all: bad smell, no proper isolation so very noisy, squeaking floor and no blinds. Bathroom and wc dont have hooks, so you cant hang your towels; Bedlinen and towels have an unpleasant smell; Wifi not really working, but not a problem on holidays.

L'endroit et la facilité de communication avec Laurent nous ont aidé à passer un super séjour. Ce lieu charmant dans un cadre unique est une petite pépite, si vous en avez l'occasion, n'hésitez pas un instant à y passer un super moment.

De ruimte in het huisje en het uitzicht over de vallei

De douches zijn te laag en te klein. Er is maar 1 badkamer waar je kan staan onder de douche. De badkamer missen een deur en een goede afzuiging voor het vocht.

Chouette séjour !

Le salon est spacieux, la cuisine également, tout équipée. Literie confortable. Jeux à disposition. Bon accueil + guide d'accueil sous forme de livret (pratique).

Deux salles de bains sont basses de plafond. Pas évident pour prendre une douche debout. Le bruit des voitures le long de la chaussée (peu fréquent mais cela s'entend).

Nous avons apprécié la cuisine fonctionnelle avec un feu à bois, nous avons passé toutes nos soirées entre amis dans cette pièce. Les salles de bains dans chaque chambres, les WC à chaque étages.

Uitstekend

Het personeel was vriendelijk en beantwoorde direct als ik een vraag had. De ligging was goed prachtig uitzicht maar spijtig van de auto's die zo snel voorbij rijden. Alles was in huis buite de barbecue viel wat tegen. Het verblijf was ook ontzettend proper.

Het viel me tegen dat ik had gelezen op booking dat dit een huisje was maar er woont nog iemand onder jou. Ongeacht dat er iemand leefde heb ik geen problemen ermee gehad. Ook dat er maar 1 badkamer is waar je kan rechtstaan maar als je van een bad houd zijn deze badkamers perfect.
