Tucked among the treetops in a quiet neighborhood of Manzanita, this lodge-like home offers comfort and relaxation less than a quarter-mile stroll from the beach. Enjoy three separate decks where you can sip your morning coffee, barbecue each afternoon, and linger in the evenings to admire the golden hour light.

This two-story home sits on the north side of town, about a thousand feet from an access point to Manzanita Beach. Laneda Avenue and its great restaurants and shops is only half a mile south. This is a wonderful setting for exploring the Northern Oregon Coast, with the Manzanita Links (one mile), the Neahkahnie Mountain South Trailhead (two miles), Nehalem Bay State Park (three miles), Short Sand Beach (four miles), and Cape Falcon (four miles) close by.

A favorite feature of the house is the open living space upstairs, where large picture windows maximize the view of the evergreens. You can slide open the deck doors to let in the ocean breeze, savoring the cool as you cook in the well-equipped kitchen, gather around the dining room table for dinner, or curl up with a good book on one of the sofas. Enjoy the gas fire pit located on the second story deck, with spacious seating.

Another lounge space awaits downstairs, where you can play board games and watch movies on cable, DVD, or streaming. There are three bedrooms - one with direct deck access - on this level, in addition to the primary suite (with its own TV) upstairs. High-speed WiFi and a private washer/dryer are provided as well.

This was perfect place to stay. Being able to have several living areas in use at once. We loved how we could all eat together and enjoy each others company as well as being able to separate and have our own place. There are allot of stairs as some one with bilateral knee replacement surgery this was bit much! But the charm and cleanliness won us over. It’s a bit like stepping back into the seventies with many old but still useable appliances… big comfortable couches wonderful decks looking out into the beautiful surroundings. Close to the beach and down town. Wonderful getaway !!!!

I could write a book, the cliff notes however are: 1950's Sentimental Journey meets Yey! It's A Beach House, What's Your Problem? Well, if you don't mind window that break your fingers trying to open ans dont have screens, water nof quite hot enough for a shower, definitely not hot at all for a bath, with a very annoying hand held shower , or a stove that requires st least one of you to be a boomer do you can figure out the 1950's oven, and you better not be a full figured person or you won't fit between the oven and the frig... make sure you close the frig door tight as it tends to open like theres a hungry ghost sharing your rental. There are a million plates and bowls but only about 5 coffee cups, BYO. The metal chairs speak for themselves along with the leaky coffeemaker and I forgot: the only real shower head hits you in the chest if you're 5'5". Now for the better aspects: Less than 5 minutes to the beach... very steep for a fragile person. The decks are nice and the "oasis" is referring to being surrounded by trees which bring privacy and quiet. The upper floor bed is great, lower floor... mattresses soft. There are a lot of places to lay about, lots of towels, deck chairs, lamps, games. Overall it's a B-....or C. I don't think we'll go back but hey! It's a quirky, outdated, but mellow and clean beach house
