The Space
Luana Kai B314 is a extra-large modern 3-bedroom, 3-bath condo that sleeps up to eight guests in a prime top-floor oceanfront location. Enjoy 1,470 square feet of luxury living space with huge vaulted ceilings throughout. Every floor and surface of this condo was recently remodeled. The kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, flooring, fixtures, furniture, beds and linens were all updated.
Gather at the large kitchen peninsula or dine al fresco on the covered lanai. In the newly decorated living area, you’ll find a comfortable queen sleeper sofa, a large 55” SmartTV and plenty of space to unwind. The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and is well equipped with a generous array of cooking and dining supplies.
Relax in the two master bedroom suites that feature California King beds, 55″ SmartTV's and an ensuite bathroom. The third bedrooms can be made up as two Twin XL beds or combined as a California King, making this condo perfect for couples or large families.
Included amenities are beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, body boards and more. Complimentary high speed wireless internet service, in-condo laundry with washer/dryer and iron/board are all included with your stay.
The Resort
Luana Kai is an amenity-rich resort with multiple tennis and pickle ball courts, free self-parking, a heated fresh water swimming pool, bubbly hot tub, two dry saunas, putting green, shuffleboard, and an abundance of lush tropical landscaping.
In addition to the 1.5 mile long beach in front of Luana Kai, there are more than a dozen other sandy coves and beaches nearby along the arid south Maui coastline. Within a few minutes drive are the lovely postcard-perfect beaches of Keawakapu, Kamaole II, Kamaole III, Charley Young, and Sugar Beach.
There are many great restaurants near Luana Kai. Our favorites include Coconut’s Fish Cafe, Monsoon India, Nalu’s South Shore Grill, Wow Wow Lemonade (go there for the acai bowls), Miso Phat Sushi, Home Maid Cafe (the best malasadas) and Maui Pie for dessert. If you prefer to cook, there are a few grocery stores close by and 5 grills on site.

Overall a good experience but some negatives:Pros:Host was great. Very friendly and accommodating.The location is good and centrally located to wherever you want to go.Condo and grounds are nice and family friendly.The host provided great recommendations on restaurants and things to do Cons:The place is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. Floors were filthy and everything was very dusty.The beach on property was not usable. Water was brown and sand was full of rocks. Obviously not in the hosts control, but we flew 5k miles for the Hawaiian beaches and paid a premium for a beachfront property yet still had to travel 15 minutes to the beach daily so the beach pictures seemed misleading. Not sure if it was due to recent weather or not but definitely altered our experience.

The VRBO was perfect and more than spacious for our family of 5 including a child. The hosts were very accommodating with some special arrival/departure exception requests, which was much appreciated! We will definitely be back!
