We enjoyed our stay at Menehune Shores. The VRBO had a great layout with amazing views of the ocean and sunsets. The property was in a good location for restaurants and grocery stores as well as getting to major sites on the island. There was plenty of parking, however, due to the office hours, it was difficult to take advantage of all the amenities. Management had good communication with us and the WiFi worked well and was easy to hook up to. Overall we had an above average experience and would stay here again.

Wonderful location, easy check in and out. Ocean view. Beach chairs. Would stay again. However we were told to remove our shoes, which we did. Within 15 minutes the bottom of our feet/ socks were black. We then found cleaning supplies and scrubbed all the floors. Also the blow drier in the master bath only blows cold..so used the hair drier in the other bath.

We had an excellent time in Maui with this condo unit as our home base. Kitchen was adequately stocked, beds were comfortable, and the view from the lanai was amazing!

We stayed for 8 nights in April. The view is beautiful, the beach is nice and the management company is wonderful. We ran into a few hiccups however and unit is overpriced for what you get.
1. The AC broke and was off for 24 hours. This is one reason we booked this unit (with a baby and elderly parents who overheat easily especially at night).
2. The dishwasher broke and leaked all over the kitchen
3. There was mold around the caulking in both bathrooms and the trim was all broken and looked rotted. The bathroom cabinet kept falling apart. The tub was rather gross.
4. We left the fan on in the baby's room at night. There must be some electrical issue, because the light started to turn on in the middle of the night, waking the baby up. We ended up having to turn the entire system off so baby could sleep through the night...but he was HOT.
4. Not the unit's fault, but the pool was not heated. Nobody was in the pool It was very cold. With small kids, a pool is a bit part of our vacation selection. We were incredibly disappointed.
We were told we'd get credit back for the inconveniences, but we haven't received anything. Next time, we'll book somewhere else that has better value for the money. This unit is in major need of some real maintenance and TLC.
