About this apartment rental
Reconnect with nature in this gorgeous wooded escape. There’s something calming about living in round spaces with curved walls that inspire creativity. We can't wait for you to experience it!
The Yurt is one large round room with a walled in, private bathroom inside. The spacious 24' Yurt features a dome skylight so you fall asleep looking at the stars. The Yurt can be set up with up to 3 Queen mattresses, and has electricity, heat, a large deck, compost toilet, wash station (but no running water) BBQ, fire pit, telescope (!) and excellent WiFi.
The main room features a kitchenette with fridge and small freezer, microwave, Berkey water filter, and electric kettle, as well as a Queen bed on a frame, and two other Queen mattresses currently set up as a couches that can be set up as floor mattresses depending on requests. The bathroom features a pristine sawdust compost toilet and wash station. Please note that there is no running water in the yurt, but we do provide a Berkey full of filtered drinking water, a full pitcher for washing up in the bathroom, and a full electric kettle for making tea or coffee.
You'll park at the bottom of the driveway on an adjoining property and walk 4 minutes through the woods to the Yurt. (Please note that you won't be able to park right next to the Yurt, so you will have to carry your luggage for about a 4 minute walk.) We ask that you do not go up the driveway to the house on the adjoining property, but the 8 acre Yurt property does have its own fire pit and woods!
Please note that there IS:
Electricity (limited--- you may NOT plug in appliances other than cell phone charger or similar size)
Excellent Wifi
Heat (one propane tank provided free; extra propane available for purchase)
Compost Toilet
Wash station (pitcher + bowl in bathroom)
Grill + Grill instruments
Fire Pit (firewood available for purchase)
But there is NO:
Running water
Capacity for plugging in large appliances
Parking directly next to Yurt (parking is a 4m walk away)
Extra costs:
The first propane tank is on us; additional propane will be available for $25 each. Each propane tank heats the Yurt for 24 hours straight in 30-degree weather. We're happy to help you estimate how many tanks of Propane you will need for your stay depending how cold it will be, how long you will be staying, and how much of your visit you will be spending in the yurt. We do require advance notice if you will need additional propane.
We are happy to set up a fire with dry wood in the fire pit for $15.
