Icelandic Apartments includes 40 beautifully designed rooms and stunning views from shared balconies and some rooms. All our apartments are fully equipped for 2 or 4 guests with kitchen. Great neighborhood with grocery store, gym, restaurant and much more within walking distance. Only 15 min drive from Reykjavik.
This is a multi-level complex building with self-serviced apartments.
The Space:
This superior studio can accommodate 4 people, in a double bed and a sleeping sofa.

The Neighborhood:
Great neighborhood with grocery store, bakery, restaurant, gym and much more within walking distance.
Beautiful nature in close proximity. Lake Ellidavatn is in 15 min. walking distance and there are beautiful pathways along the lake. 15 min drive to Heiðmörk, a protected forest area with spectacular craters.
Getting Around:
The closest bus is called: Vatnsendahvarf / Ögurhvarf. It is only a few minutes walk from Icelandic Apartments.
You can take the FlyBus from the airport to the main bus station in Reykjavik and then take the public bus to IA. We recommend renting a car when staying in Kopavogur, as it's located 15 min. from Reykjavik.
Other Things to Note:
Kindly note the water in Iceland has this particular smell because of the sulphur in it . It is in fact one of the cleanest and most delicious drinking water in the world. Unlike in many neighbouring countries, the Icelandic water is free of chlorine, calcium, and nitrate. We can assure you that the quality of tap water everywhere in Iceland is regularly monitored and tested.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip to Iceland, which covers issues as delayed baggage, travel accidents, weather trip cancellations and emergency overseas medical. EU members can use their European Health Insurance Card in Iceland (medical expenses).

Great location, great size of room for family 3 or 4 people. Only complain is the sofa bed, poor quality , ot comfortable sleeping.

I visited in November 2026. This propery is so wonderful!! From the customer service to the check in/out convenience to the accommodations they are willing to do to make us feel at home, it is exceptional!
I loved my stay here. We were on the 6th floor and the view of Reykjavik was amazing but what was most amazing was the viw oof the northern lights almost every night.
I highly recommend this propery.

We could easily check in and had all the codes to enter the apartment. The codes where just a little long and you always needed to check the correct one according the message. Also, we booked for 3 people but the bed sheets were only provided for 2. After a quick phone call, we got informed about some more available in the building, so we could grab them by ourselves and that was easy and ok. The smell of the apartment was a little confusing, we couldn’t tell why it smelled. However it was all super clean and very comfortable beds!
