The Beach Barracks is a breezy, updated old Florida-style home with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms located on the west end of Panama City Beach, where beach access is easy and public! Beach Barracks is located a short 1.5 blocks away from three beach access points, including one with a ramp for easy accessibility, that will take you directly to the white sands and crystal blue Gulf waters! The walk to the beach is flat and quick. The accesses points are 88, 89 and 90. Access 89 has stairs down to the beach and access 90 has a walkway over Front Beach Rd and a ramp down to the beach. Close by are 2 grocery stores in this quaint community. Parking for 3 vehicles.
You enter the cozy living area with ample seating for watching the SMART 42" TV that is on a swivel mount to ensure you can watch your show or game in any area of the main living space. This room is open and seamlessly blends into the spacious kitchen that is well equipped with everything you need to prep meals for your crew, including a central island. There is seating for 6 immediately available, but if your group is larger the dining table has an expansion leaf with 4 additional folding chairs.
Down the hallway from the kitchen are 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms along the hallway walk with tub/shower combo. The sleeping arrangements are:
Primary Bedroom: King bed, 32in smart TV, and two closets as well as stacked laundry.
Guest bedroom 2: Queen bed, 32in smart TV
Guest bedroom 3: Queen bed, Twin Bunkbed, 32in smart TV
Guest bedroom 4: King bed, 32in smart TV and one closet
Back in the kitchen, you’ll find the door that leads out to the backyard oasis. There is outdoor dining under a lighted pergola and a lounge area that is shaded from the afternoon sun, with a gas grill nearby. The yard is fenced for privacy, but outside of the fenced area is an additional sandy lot available for outdoor activities. This home is also bursting with amenities that will help keep your squad busy! If you have an active crew, the addition of a portable and multi-height volleyball/badminton/pickle ball net as well as a mini ping pong table will surely add some competitive fun. The 6ft deep saltwater pool with ample lounge space can be heated for an extra fee and basketball hoop will be a delight for children of all ages.
For your convenience and to help tote gear or make a quick grocery run, enjoy transporting everyone in the 6-seater, electric golf cart . Even more - this home comes with a credit (based on the length of your stay) that you can apply towards bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, beach gear, and more!

Beach Barracks was great, great location for us, we love the west end of the beach. The pool was amazing!

We had so much fun at the beach house! The kids loved the pool even when the hard rain turned it green on last day . I would only suggest get rid of the thorny weeds in the back my dog hated them and I hated picking them out of his paws and fur! Beds are so comfy and the home was very clean and inviting.

The golf cart was the best part about this rental. The pool was nice. 4'-6', so no true shallow end which may be important to people with small kids. The beds were all very comfortable! Just about everything looked new. We enjoyed the little extras for the kids like the uno cards, pool toys, etc.
The property management was terrible though. Trash pick up is on Thursday. We arrived on Wednesday, so the trash was obviously full and out at the road- that's fine. However, the previous renter had a huge pile of trash piled up beside the can. It was the first thing we saw and smelled when we arrived. I contacted property management, and after being told it wasn't priority, it was picked up by maintenance Friday evening.
Ants were everywhere outside the home. Weeds were out of control too. The extra side yard was complete false advertising. The weeds were so high and it was full of sand spurs. No way the kids could play over there. One of the key pads didn't work and nobody came to fix it as promised. We entered through another less convenient door the whole time. There was also trash left around the pool area. They only left 2 rolls of toilet paper for 6 guests. Only one paper towel roll, no laundry pods. We had to stock the whole house ourselves. This is the first place I've stayed at in many years that was so stingy.
