With the entrance to the magnificent Ecola State Park only three blocks away, and downtown Cannon Beach nearby, Chapman Point Cottage promises to be your new home away from home.
This 1360 sf single level, mid-century home has 3 large bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens), all with flat screen tv's and individually zoned heat. The private primary bedroom is across the house from the other two bedrooms and has its own zoned heating and air conditioning.
The living room features a queen size sleeper sofa, gas fireplace and wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows looking out into the quiet tree filled neighborhood.
The well supplied galley kitchen has all new appliances and an atrium eating area that looks into the forested nature preserve between the house and the sand which is popular with the area's elk population.
Once the home of Mayor Gower (for whom the street in front of city hall is named) the cottage was fully renovated in 2024 with all new systems and finishes, including hardwood floors, plenty of hot water for even the largest families, laundry facilities and 2 full bathrooms. The home even has air conditioning for those few summer days and nights when the heat hits the coast and doesn't let up and also a cozy, outdoor hot tub perfect for any season.

Property was clean, but we arrived late and the beds were not made and we had no linens. This was resolved relatively quickly considering; however, it was a stressful way to end the day and begin our vacation. Also wish there had been any amount of counter space in either bathroom.
