Sophisticated and charming, this architecturally inspired mid-century home offers an open floor plan with over 2,000 square feet of living space and all wood finishes. Beautiful soaring ceilings and fresh designer elements. This one level modern lodge with a step-down living room is sited on a private lot near Mirror Lake, within a 5 minute drive to everything downtown Highlands has to offer. Newly furnished, the home offers AC, Wi-Fi, Flat screen TVs, Fire Pit and a six person Hot Tub. There are 2 fireplaces – one in the living room and one in the dining area, hardwood floors and special touches throughout. Escape to this inviting mountain retreat to relax and recharge in nature and privacy.
Outside, there is a hot tub, stone terrace with fire pit and multiple Adirondack chairs – perfectly lit with cafe lights for romance and for making s'mores. Plus, a screened porch sitting area and connected wrap around dining/party deck with a Weber Gas Grill and umbrella-covered table and chairs. The home is on a private and serene lot surrounded by beautiful N.C. hardwood trees and a trail around the house. Level entry to porches from the house, only 2 steps to main entry from the driveway and covered parking area, and only 5 steps off the rear decks to the outdoor amenities for making memorable nights by a roaring fire.
Inside: 3 spacious bedrooms and 3.5 baths: 2 king bedrooms and the third bedroom with 2 queens... all with large closets. Walk down the hill to Mirror Lake or Apple Lake where you can walk around the lake communities... lovely any time of year! And there is nothing like hiking to the local waterfalls and the mountain parks. Enjoy a toast on Sunset Rock or Glen Falls just minutes away!

The perfect mountain getaway! This home was lovely and enjoyed by everyone. Plenty of room for our family to spread out but also lots of common spaces to share time together. Everything was very comfortable and clean. It was a very short drive to downtown Highlands with fun shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

We’ve stayed here before, and this place never cease to deliver all the little details from the landscaping to the fire pit to the Jacuzzi and the well manicured lawn. Even the details in the home make us all feel comfortable. It’s a great place to stay.! Thanks guys!!
