The sought-after Shipwatch Community is located on the stretch of beach between the historic Coast Guard Station and Massengale Park. With just 52 units in the complex, Shipwatch is a favorite destination for families, couples and snowbirds alike.
The master bedroom features a King bed en-suite with a combination tub/shower. The guest bedroom has a bunk set with a twin on top and a queen on bottom. The second bath is a full bathroom with tub/shower combination.
Amenities include secured gated entry, pool, covered parking, grass lawn, community grill and private boardwalk to the beach. Each condo has two bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, an open dining/ living room, kitchen and balcony. Unless specified, residences do not offer ocean views.

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants 5 persons.
• One dog allowed with the addition of the $100 pet fee.
• Parking is available for 2 vehicles.

Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old - this applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

The Condo itself was fine- but the "short walk" to the beach was a bit of a disaster. The wooden boardwalk which was like 50 ft was fine , but then you pass through the gate into Jurrrasic park a swampy marsh- sand and muck over your ankles and biting bugs! We literally sprinted to the beach- spent a few hours and then trecked back - we got bit so many times- we literally were swarmed by mosquitoes and who knows what else. My daughter got bit at least 15-20 times on back and legs and I was close to that as well. We seriously had to go get cortisone cream just stop the itching and pain. We then explored other beach options and found out the East Beach public beach- which we purposely booked close to for dog friendly and bathrooms- was closed for renovations! - None of this was mentioned when we secured the rental! Not good! :(- We ended up finding Massengil beach and had to drive each day and find parking to go to the beach because obviously we were not going to use the walk way to to get eaten up by the bugs again. And we were not the only ones! We met numerous people at the Ship Watch Pool that were suffering the same issues!! Adults and kids alike. We made the best of the situation- because that’s our nature, but we were extremely disappointed.

The washer/dryer was missing knobs. The bunk bed was very loose so when anyone moved, everyone was shaken. Spare room was quite small and had the washer/dryer in there but no tv. Whole space felt smaller than expected.

They definitely need to remove Oceanfront as it’s very misleading. Also it really is not convenient to most places. The long walk to the beach was TERRIBLE and if you have anyone with you that has difficulties walking they won’t be able to go to the beach. It feels like you have to go through swampland to get there. Take lots of bug spray because your walk through the swamp will get you ate up by mosquitoes. Although I took my dogs they don’t bark constantly like the ones next door. Constant barking and also the condo above us must have had a ton of kids running and stomping all day and night long. It was definitely not a peaceful nor a quiet vacation. Although these things I understand can’t be helped by management it was still disappointing. The pool was nice and all in all the place was very clean. Just disappointed that the beach was so far away and not accessible to elderly people or any with difficulties walking very far. Definitely not a boardwalk to the beach. The weather was beautiful our entire stay so that was a plus. I just feel like the description was very misleading. It’s a very small condo. The elevator was broken on the day we left so that was inconvenient and back breaking with luggage. The beach access gate decided not to work one night and on that same evening the shower off area handle broke off and was spraying water every where. I’ve stayed in much nicer condos in st Simonds and was disappointed in this one.
