About this house rental
Welcome to our retreat on the main channel of Smith Lake, Alabama! With 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, bunk room, and a prime location, this is the perfect destination for your short-term getaway.
Each of the 4 bedrooms has been thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable and serene atmosphere. Blackout shades and curtains will ensure you get the rest you need to enjoy each day of your stay. Each bedroom has a bathroom, so there's no need to worry about sharing facilities.
One of the highlights of this lake house is its deep water access, perfect for avid boaters and water enthusiasts. A spacious two-story dock allows plenty of room for sunbathing, swimming, and simply enjoying the water. The swim deck and swim ladder, as well as provided kayaks and paddle boards, allow the kids and kids-at-heart hours of fun in the water. There is one slip available if you would like to bring your own boat or rental. 4 adult life jackets and 1 child life jacket are provided.
A favorite feature of the house is the breathtaking sunsets, creating an unforgettable backdrop for evening gatherings. A well-stocked puzzle and game closet, and foosball table will allow you to have some family fun as you unwind from a busy day on the lake.
There is a dedicated electric vehicle (Tesla) charger on-site, allowing you to easily charge your electric car and explore the local area with peace of mind. For other EVs, bring your 50 amp cable or adapter.
Smith Lake and this home have provided our family with many hours of relaxation, providing us a wonderful, healing retreat. We are happy to share this space with others and know you will experience similar peace and relaxation here.

3200 sq ft lakefront home comfortably hosts and sleeps 12 on 2 different levels. There are 3 porches and an outdoor fire pit. It was built in 2018, so there are modern amenities and furnishings throughout. The downstairs outdoor space features a 30-inch Blackstone griddle + charcoal grill.
Sleeping spaces:
Main floor:
- Master Bedroom + Private bathroom: King bed
- Bedroom 2 + Private bathroom: King bed
- Bedroom 3 + Private bathroom (tub/shower combo): Two twin beds + pull-out twin mattress
Downstairs:
- Bedroom 4 + connected bathroom: King bed
- Bunk room: Two Twin beds - interior room, no windows.
Entertainment features:
- Foosball Table
- Large kitchen with oversized island
- Wet bar downstairs
- Blackstone Griddle + Charcoal Grill
- Main level & Downstairs Indoor Fireplaces (wood burning, wood provided)
- 65" Roku TVs on the main level and downstairs (bring your own log-ins to Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.)
- Outdoor wood-burning fire pit
- Kayaks: 2 single seater adult kayaks, 1 single seater child kayak
- 2 adult paddleboards
- Private boat house* with swim deck & swim ladder
- Year-round water for boating access
*While we do keep a personal boat in the dock slip, guests are welcome to utilize the second boat slip to bring their own boat/rent a boat.

- Memory foam mattresses on every bed

- For security and to maintain the integrity of the property and neighborhood, we have installed outdoor cameras. Cameras are on the outside of the house only and cover the parking area and the dock.
Other Suggested Activities:
- Boat to Trident Marina and enjoy a meal from the restaurant served on their patio
- Visit downtown Cullman: stop at Karma's for a cup of coffee, browse through the shops, and enjoy a sweet from Flavor's Bakery. In the summer, visit WildWater Cullman or a local park.
- See the iconic Smith Lake Castle by the water
- Drive to Huntsville and visit the Space and Rocket Center

Amazing in every way!! Our group absolutely loved our long weekend at Chateau Marlowe. From the well-stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Although we didn’t spend much time outdoors, we had a lovely view from the main living room….so we felt connected to the beautiful lake. Britney was very responsive and seemed genuinely happy for us to be there! We will be back!!
