About this cottage rental
This quaint, rustic cottage is located in the community of Cedar, just south of Nanaimo, on an accessible, yet secluded acreage.
It is walking distance to the beach and boat launch and amazing trails, yet less than 15 minutes from downtown Nanaimo, as well as both ferry terminals and the airport.
The quiet yard is surrounded by beautiful old maple, walnut, and fruit trees and overlooks the horse pasture and pond. It is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful morning cup of coffee or an evening sunset.
An attached games room includes ping-pong, air hockey and foosball tables, as well as a dart board, for all to enjoy and entertain a family. Kids big and small, young or old will love it.
The cottage boasts a cozy master bedroom on the main floor, situated off the main living area, and next to the bathroom. Upstairs is split in the middle with two additional attic-style bedrooms.
A double futon is available in the living room, as well as a single sized roll out cot, both with supplied linens for additional guests. Also provided is a Graco pack and play, playpen for your little one.
This 100+ year old original farmhouse has been freshly renovated, keeping its original rustic charm. We love it and think you will too!
$50 cleaning fee for first couple ($25/guest thereafter)

Great quiet place to gather in fall/winter when the weather means you want to spend more time indoors. Very authentic old house but has all the necessary updates. The stairs to bedrooms are extremely steep - I'd be nervous of some kids around them. The host has clearly put a lot of work into it - lots of extra touches to make it homey.

Super clean and organized, amazing location, lovely host re: communication.As other reviews say, the stairs are extremely steep. Also felt like the upstairs were not really "bedrooms", it was more like the upstairs double bed "room" is like a doorless bedroom and and the single beds are right there, at the top of the steps.You need to walk past them to access the other double bed room.Still - the place is well worth the price, and we will likely be back one day.

Lovely little getaway cottage for 4 generations of family. Just as advertised. Very well equipped. The kids loved the games room. Stairs to upper floor narrow and steep so be cautious. Granny slept on the main floor! Thanks we will come again.
