The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

Beautiful cottage in the heart of Stow, extremely clean and lovely attention to detail in all rooms. Would highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Stow

Lovely little cottage perfect for 2 couples and a good location, although it can be a little noisy as you are on a main road, it would also benefit from having sturdier bedroom furniture and some full length mirrors. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of lovely touches left for us to settle us in!! (It would be a lot easier with a non stick frying pan!) Parking round the back was good and easy accessible, you can even park electric car overnight at Tescos (5 min walk away) to charge! The Sheep was good to eat in and so was The Kings arms, overall a very pleasant stay

We had a lovely stay at Master's House. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated, very clean, had evetything we needed and suited our needs perfectly. It is in a great location right in the centre of Stow on the Wold. We would definitely recommend the house. The free three day car park beside Tescos was very useful and little restaurant two minutes walk the from house was a lovely place for Sunday brunch.

We spent a week at Master's House in July and were very satisfied. The organisation through StayCotswolds was excellent, and we felt well looked after. The pictures and description of the house's amenities on the website were accurate. However, the house is much darker inside than the photos suggest. On warm summer days, though, it is pleasantly cool inside. The courtyard is neither particularly large nor beautiful, but we still enjoyed sitting there. We would have liked seat cushions for the chairs, though. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds. However, the room facing the busy road is not suitable for light sleepers due to the traffic noise. There were a couple of minor issues in both bathrooms that should be easy to fix: the bathtub tap drips and water leaks after a while. In the bathroom with the shower, water drains slowly from the sink. The toilet only flushes if you press the button hard. The food left as a welcome gift was a nice touch. The location of the house is ideal. Pubs and shops are within walking distance. As we didn't have a car, we got around easily with the city bus service. However, parking may be difficult for car owners, especially at weekends. The street in front of the house can get very busy. We fell in love with the Cotswolds, particularly the charming village of Stow-on-the-Wold. We will definitely be back. When we do, we will gladly use StayCotswold‘s services again. Thank you very much for a lovely stay!

The appartment is beautiful! You can't beat the location. Next to nice restaurant. We especially enjoyed the Sheep on sheep's. Super cozy and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. We never had problem parking the car super close with the map they gave us! it was pretty hot on the second floor the first night but we ask for a fan and we got it the same day!

Masters House is a truly beautiful property: a very stylishly updated historic house. But it’s also super comfortable, well outfitted — we stayed in and cooked many nights — and perfectly located in town. It was a perfect home base for 4 friends doing walks through the Cotswolds. Highly recommend!

We loved the cottage and location but had an extremely difficult time opening the key box. It was a weekend and bank holiday so we couldn’t get any help, fortunately an extremely nice man who lived next door was able to help but when we left he couldn’t get it open either and again, the agency wasn’t open yet. They need to have at least one person on call 23/7. Also, the bedroom with an en-suite shower was poorly designed. You could barely turn on the water because the shower head was not movable and just sprayed the water on the slanted ceiling, it needs a rainfall shower head that would direct the water straight down to be able to stand under it.
