The quaint mountain town of Brevard is 15 minutes with nice shops and restaurants. Nearby attractions include Dupont State Park, Pisgah National Forest, Sassafras Mountain, Sliding Rock, Gorges State Park and Cradle of Forestry all within 30 minutes. Flatrock Playhouse, Hendersonville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Ski Sapphire Valley and Asheville are within 45 minutes. There are many nearby scenic drives to waterfalls and beautiful mountain views as well as charming mountain towns. Head out for a hike in Table Rock State Park or to Rainbow Falls, or take a day trip to Asheville to explore the Biltmore and breweries in town.

We had a wonderful week on lake Wanteska. The house is spacious and perfect for our group of 5 adults and 2 kids.We spent hours swimming at the dock, using the paddle boards and kayaks or playing games indoors while looking out at the lake. Brevard is nearby especially using the Walnut Hollow exit from the neighborhood. We also enjoyed the playground at Lake Atagahi, the pickleball courts and community swimming pool. A perfect vacation setting! Thank you Rick and Margaret

We’ve rented several different houses over the years on the lakes at Connestee Falls. This was absolutely our favorite. Everything from the fact that there weren’t any steps to negotiate in to the house or within the house, to the circular driveway that made getting in and out of the property easy with our four cars, to the fabulous view through many large, clean windows, to the so well equipped kitchen, to the immediate response from the owners when we had one small issue upon arrival, to the lovely dock with lots of fun water toys available (kayaks, paddle boards, floats). I could go on!! I have already booked it for next year!

Magnificently situated with view of mountains on the lake. Fully equipped and immaculate luxury home with all the accoutrements a guest could hope for. Perfect for my husband and I to enjoy hiking, pickleball, swimming, golf, SUPs, and just relaxing on the dock and soaking up the beautiful view and weather after a fun day.
