We’ve traveled to the Harbor Springs/Petoskey area several times over the years for fall golf and winery/brewery visits. This was our first time staying at the Carriage House. The property appeared relatively new. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. Three large TV’s in the living area and in each of the two bedrooms were a definite plus. The beds were very comfortable. The location is ideal for us as we enjoy going into both Harbor Springs and Petoskey to hit some of our favorite spots. If you’re a craft beer lover, Petoskey Brewery (one of our favorites) is just across the street and walkable. The property manager was very prompt when responding to questions and provided good communications. We’d definitely stay here again.

Close to everything in the area. Spent time in Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Charlevoix. Also close to state park and walking trails.

When we booked our stay, VRBO showed there was an elevator available. However, we later learned from the management company that the elevator was not for guest use, which left us in a bind. That amenity was later removed from the listing, but it was too late to cancel. There were two concerns we had during our stay: The mattresses seemed too big for the bedframes, which caused us to tilt off the bed when sleeping and almost fall off when sitting on the edge of the beds. Also, there was horrible water pressure in both showers. The freestanding bathroom shower was very slow to react to temperature changes and the water pressure was so bad, we had VERY flat hair during our vacation! We tried to use cups to help rinse off.When you stay in a vacation home, you'd hope that the beds and bathrooms are better than what you have at home. Unfortunately, we had to buy a blow up mattress and sleep on the couch due to the mismatched mattresses and bedframes, and the showers were unbearably cold and low pressure. We did report this on Sunday but the plumber couldn't make it out until Tuesday and since our last day was Wednesday, we didn't think it was worth it to have someone in the condo with us on our last day. The condo itself is absolutely beautiful and well cared for, and the communication with management was fine. But please know that those with mobility issues will have trouble using the stairs. There was a small set, then a full set you have to use to get to the condo.
