About this house rental
A one of a kind offering in Rochester Minnesota's VRBO's list of homes! The extensive renovations of the "Kathy House" have just been completed and the home is now ready for occupancy. Everything is brand new inside and out in this luxurious 3 bedroom, 2 bath bungalow. Main floor living ease and convenience and accessibility. Fully licensed by Olmsted county as a Short-term Medical Stay Dwelling, the Kathy House is uniquely located on a quite cul-de-sac just minutes away from downtown, St. Mary's and walking/biking distance to many shopping and dining establishments. The city bus stop is 2 houses down. The Kathy House is sure to be your new favorite place to stay when visiting Rochester!
House Rules:
- Six guests maximum with a $25/guest/night for more than three guests.
-Quite time from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- No smoking, burning of candles or incense in the house or garage.
- No pets inside the house (even for a short visit).
- Keep the house clean and orderly during your stay.
- No alterations permitted such as painting, hanging pictures/mirrors or rearranging the furnishings, etc.
- Do not remove items, furnishings, towels, etc. from the house (except for the garage door remote control). There will be $100 charge for a non-returned garage remote control.
- Do not wear high heels on the hardwood flooring.
- Immediately notify Host of water leaks, running toilets, spills that could stain or other serious conditions that arise on the property during your stay.
- Guest agrees to reimburse Host entirely for damaged to the home caused by the Guest during their stay or for damaged or missing personal property. A comprehensive Inventory List is included in the House Manual.
- Cleaning fee covers bed linens, towels and the sanitation of all touch surfaces. Guest will be charged $50/hour up to $250 if additional cleaning is needed after departure.
- For stays over 30 days, Guest agrees to periodic access of the home by Host. In the event Host determines the House Rules are not being followed, Guest agrees to vacate within 24 hours of written notice by the Host.

Unfortunately my family’s visit here happened to be at an unprecedented stormy week in Rochester. The beautiful and very cozy space located on a quiet culdesac also proofed to be a safe place and offered all the comfort to make my family’s visit enjoyable!
I recommend this amenity highly to anyone visiting Rochester and who also wants to experience Midwest Nice❣️ - that’s how I would describe all interactions with the hosts.

I would highly recommend this wonderful home for anyone who will be visiting the Mayo Clinic as it is literally a 3 minute drive to the campus and back. It was so nice to be able to come back to a quiet home between and after appts and not be cramped in a hotel room, but be able to take time apart to think or be together and enjoy the scenery. The property is close to restaurants and shopping or you can prepare meals in the beautiful kitchen that is well stocked for your needs. Relaxing in front of the fireplaces was a huge plus and sitting in the lovely sunroom was amazing! I can’t say enough about Shawn and Shelly, as they wanted to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We knew if we had any questions or had any trouble we could reach out to them and when you’re away from home for an unsettling reason, that’s huge! If we venture north again, I hope we’re able to book the Kathy House again! Thank you!!!

Beautiful, clean home in quiet neighborhood. Literally minutes away from everything you may need. Ye Olde Butcher, Caribou Coffee, Apache Mall and Nothing Bundt Cakes were our favorites in addition to an absolutely amazing Italian restaurant, Terza, that we dined at twice. The homeowners were incredibly helpful. No matter your reason for visiting Rochester do not hesitate to book The Kathy House. You will be happy you did.
