About this apartment rental
The Mermaid Den encompasses everything beach with bright colors, coastal art, and an easy atmosphere. Centrally located in Forest Ridge Villages (near the entrance) guests have access to the pool, playground, tennis courts, grilling area, and only a short walk to the beach.
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit is on the second story (you must utilize the stairs) surrounded by large, twisting oak trees dripping in Spanish moss.
Upon entering the unit guests are greeted by a clean, comfortable, and charming space. The main living area is equipped with a sofa, chair, new sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony, and a large flat-screen TV providing access to online streaming with YouTube TV. The dining room table can accommodate six people comfortably and the bar stools add an additional two seats.
The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials including a NEW dishwasher, pots/pans, cookware, baking dishes, coffee maker (Keurig), toaster, and blender. Down the hall, you will find a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo, washer/dryer and three bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a King bed, TV, closet and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The second room has a Queen bed, walk-in closet,and TV. The third room has a twin bed and a walk-in closet.
Although this rental is not located beachfront, it is only a 200-yard walk and your toes will be in the sand. Amelia Island features a wide array of tourist attractions such as uncrowded beaches, historic buildings, fine restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and many diverse recreational activities such as top-rated golf courses, tennis, beachcombing, sailing, jet-skiing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, miniature golf, volleyball, horseback riding, surfing, biking, and more. History buffs will appreciate Fort Clinch and our Historic Downtown area.
Fresh linens, towels and a starter kit of disposables are provided (travel-size shampoo/conditioner and body wash along with a limited number of laundry pods, dish pods, coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and one sponge.)
There is one designated parking spot along with Visitor parking.

It was great staying at Mermaid Den. The place was clean and ready for us and any questions I met with immediate responses.

Overall it was a decent experience. The owner(s) was amazing and had very quick reaponse times!! Only issues were that the beds were ungodly uncomfortable and were spring mattress so any little move you made squaked and was so loud. Most of us barely got much sleep. Also 90% of the cabinet/drawers had there handles falling off. Other then that it was a decent place for the price we payed and hopefully they can get those couple things fixed because we would love to come again
