About this villa rental
A beautifully renovated farmhouse resulting in an ideal mix of new and old, with everything you could need for a fantastic holiday.
Outside, within the spacious walled lawn garden sits the inviting private pool, volleyball net and football goals, ideal for days simply relaxing in the sunshine or for entertaining families. Overlooking the garden, you'll find a choice of areas to enjoy an alfresco meal or cooling drink, with a dining terrace complete with built-in barbecue and wood fired oven. There's also a covered lounging terrace with chunky wooden sofas and table tennis.
Renovated to the highest standard, the beautifully thought out interior with modern calming tones of white and grey, contemporary furnishings, kitchen and bathrooms, has been attractively mixed with traditional stone walls and antique furnishings. Everything has been thought of for you to make the most of your stay, from the pool towels and hairdryers to the games facilities to keep everyone entertained, as well as having the option of being able to organise a local cook to prepare a sumptuous meal or a Portuguese cookery class at your villa.
It's situated a short distance to the coastal resort of Esposende, home to a range of amenities, as well as a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. The small local village is within a few minutes' drive, where you can conveniently find a bakery, butchers, mini-market, restaurant and bar. There is a horse riding centre about a 10-minute drive away.

The kitchen is fully equipped with granite counter and back splash, oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, etc. Door opening onto the garden and pool area. Dining area with doors opening onto main terrace ideal for alfresco dining. Laundry room. Living room with comfortable seating and cable TV. Guest toilet.
First floor
Twin bedroom with ensuite shower room. Double bedroom with ensuite shower room. Two further bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin) sharing a full bathroom. Each of the 4 bedrooms has air conditioning.
Exterior
A beautiful stone-walled garden with paved courtyard with quality outdoor furniture for alfresco dining. Large private pool (10 X 5 metres / depth from 1.35 to 1.85 metres), lawn with football goals and volleybal net. Shaded terrace with seating and table tennis. Excellent barbecue area with pizza oven. Private parking space.
Heated swimming pool on request and for a supplement.

Fantastic! Great family for a family holiday.

We booked a last minute short break here in August 2023 and enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked a longer stay this summer. We loved this summer’s holiday so much that we have already booked again for next year! The house is well-equipped and the garden is spacious and welcoming. The pool is well- maintained and a good size. Bibiana is a warm and helpful host this year she gifted us a birthday cake for my son - it was delicious. Thank you! She also took my other son to the hospital in Esposende - going above and beyond.
We love Vila Cova and did walks through the forest and down into the village for coffee and cakes at the bakery. People are very friendly and one neighbour turned up at our door with fruit and vegetables from her garden which was lovely of her.
Esposende is only a short drive awa.y. We enjoyed coffee and cakes there too (a theme emerging!) but did long walks along the beach and up along the dunes to walk them off. Had some hearty meals in various restaurants.
Wouldn’t mind a full length mirror in a couple of the bedrooms.

The villa itself and the level of service received was outstanding. The meal we ordered to eat in was simply stunning. Great location and the villa amenities were fantastic.

WOW! WOW! WOW! What a beautiful home. From the very beginning we just loved this place. Our hosts were so welcoming when we arrived & everything we needed was here.
The Pool was the best bit & the scenery is out of this world.
We love the area and our two favourite places to eat were Dolce Sapore in Esposende & also Bistro Vigor in Barcelos.
The rooms worked out great for my family & the mid stay fresh up made us feel like we were at a hotel.
Thank you so much & we hope to return again in the future.
