The Chateau at Lookout was lovely, with interesting décor and a nice view. We spent much of our time relaxing in the Adirondack chairs out on the partially shaded lawn overlooking the lake. The kitchen is clean, functional, and well-equipped, although there is no oven (which we didn’t need). But there was a nice large toaster oven that a medium sized cast iron skillet can fit inside. That worked well. The tap is well water and tastes good. One bedroom has plenty of storage, the other not so much. The queen mattress was comfortable; our companions reported the full-size less so. There is also a queen-sized pullout bed in the living room that was comfortable and worked for them. The bathroom was very clean, and the shower had good water pressure. Could maybe use hooks in the bedrooms for towels. Caroline, the owner, was very warm and welcoming. We come to Chautauqua every year, and we would gladly return to the Chateau.
