This home is also a day-tripper's delight, with the bay-front town of Belfast 19 miles southwest, the gorgeous trails and rugged shores of Acadia National Park 35 miles southeast, and charming Bar Harbor 40 miles southeast.

We stayed in the downstairs unit. When the man upstairs walked around, literally, the doors and windows rattled. It was loud! But overlooking that, it was the town that we were most disappointed in. There are only a few open restaurants and most of them close at 2:00. The town may have been vibrant at one time but definitely not now. We would not recommend Bucksport..
