Come have a true lakeside log cabin experience in Maine! Nestled away on the beautiful shores of Long Pond, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the water, relax in the large waterfront yard, view local wildlife, take advantage of at-home necessities, and easily access nearby towns!
The cabin consists of one Main Room, a bathroom and a living room. The Main Room has the bed, dining area and kitchenette. The ladder for the loft is in the Main Room and access to the loft is there as well. The loft is open to below and not a private room from the Main Room.
Our home generator ensures you’ll never be off the grid in Maine!

KITCHEN: Fully equipped, electric cooktop stove, full-sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven, drip coffee maker, tea kettle, cooking basics, dishware, utensils
INDOOR LIVING: Furnished living areas, comfy couch, small flat-screen Smart TV, small dining table, rocking chair
OUTDOOR LIVING: Direct lake access, private & expansive yard, chiminea for outdoor campfires (bring your own firewood), wooden Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs, beautiful towering pine trees, abundant open space, ample sun and shade
GENERAL: Standard WiFi, linens, towels, window A/C units, hot water baseboard heat, lockbox with key
PARKING: Large paved driveway (4 vehicles)
ACCESSIBILITY: There are stairs to access the building from the driveway (5 normal steps and 1 big step). The bed, bathroom, kitchen area, dining area, and living room are all on the first floor. The Loft is accessible by ladder.

RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS:

Keep the A/C set to 70 degrees. Close doors when A/C is on. Turn off A/C when gone from the cabin
Keep noise to a reasonable level
Keep trash cans covered
Only firewood to be burnt in the fire pit
The house is on a septic system: no grease or food down the drains and do not flush anything other than toilet paper
ROKU TV is available with your own streaming logins. The TV is enabled for streaming services, wifi is provided, but guests need to use their own login credentials for any streaming service.
HOME HEATING - FALL & WINTER - For those chilly FALL & WINTER days and nights, we have baseboard heating throughout, controlled by a thermostat to the left of the sink

We came to my Maine to renew our vows in Acadia and celebrate my 30th birthday. It was so nice to be in a cabin in the woods rather than a touristy spot! We felt right at home here. We didn’t realize there was only a stove top and no oven, but we made it work! ( it’s about an hour from Acadia national park/bar harbor.) We spent 3 days there. But Bangor has a lot to explore as well and only 20 minutes away. I would recommend this place again! Much cozier than a hotel stay any day! My four year old loved it.

This house is a gem and the lake it's on is peaceful and beautiful. Very clean, well kept, has all the amenities to keep you comfortable, and it's actually quite a bit larger than you'd predict. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the log cabin. The setting by long pond is beautiful. We saw bald eagles, geese and other birds. But the most amazing thing was the sound of all the frogs, birds and even a deer chirping at night in a symphony. The authentic log cabin is very charming and cozy.
