Classic Maine log home, master bedroom, loft with two beds, main floor bathroom, downstairs bathroom, office TV/extra bedroom downstairs, great room, exposed hemlock beams, huge fieldstone fireplace, massive windows filled with water views, huge two-level deck looking out on 190-acre pond, long dock for swimming, complete with kayaks and canoes, all on its own five acres of mature spruce, hemlock, and pine woods and 300 feet of pond frontage. Modern kitchen, granite counters, original oils and watercolors of outdoor landscapes. Five minutes from Lobster pound...45 minutes from Acadia; antiquing, hiking, fishing, birding. This is Maine as it was a century ago - natural, unspoiled, serene, the perfect soulful get-away from the stresses and pressures of the world.

The house is in a good location and is very private. We saw a lot of deer and wild turkeys along the roads. The pond is beautiful and peaceful.

We absolutely loved our stay in this home! It's located in a quiet area right on a lake. The layout provides abundant views of the lake, a massive kitchen for cooking, and a cozy space by the fire place. It has everything you need so you don't have to leave, but there is a quite a bit to do if you venture out. The host was extremely responsive and helpful, giving us tips on groceries/staples and recommending things to do around the area. It's an easy drive to Bangor and Acadia - both of which we visited during out stay. You can tell many memories were made there, and we were glad to make our own.
