The open floor plan boasts plenty of dining room seating and a fully equipped kitchen ready to take on any meal you need during your stay! Two dishwashers are available for your convenience, and the chef in your family will be pleased with the top-of-the-line appliances! There is island seating for 4, and seating at the dining room table for 10, so all can enjoy an Outer Banks family dinner. You can also surround yourself with ocean breezes and tranquility while relaxing in the elegant furnishings in the Great Room and taking in the unobstructed ocean views! Spend a cozy evening relaxing in front of the gas fireplace, or share morning coffee or evening cocktails on the open sundeck while whale watching or looking for dolphins! We LOVED the location, the view, the layout of the house and the amenities i.e. hot tub, number of bedrooms & bathrooms, the table that sat all 10 of us and the view from the balcony. (Did I already mention the view?)Some of the negative issues we experienced include the condition of the pool - looked unclean; the condition of the pool area - very weathered and in need of updates; the condition of the living room furniture, particularly the sectional sofa - very used and uncomfortable and one reclining end didn't work. The biggest issues were the electrical and air conditioning problems we experienced. If we plugged in both electric golf carts to charge in the carport, we discovered that threw the breakers that not only resulted in some lights not working, but the modem and router that control the wi-fi connection, internet and TVwere affected! We finally located the breaker box and reset this. We also discovered that there are 2 air conditioner units, 1 that controls the top floor and 1 that control the second and first floors. The unit for the 2 lower floors stopped working - twice! And the temps were in the 90's! We called Shoreline OBX who sent out a repairman who fixed it the 1st time. We left the day after the 2nd time. The host said the property had recently been sold and the new owners were unable to update anything while in prime season. They did refund us 500, but for the price we paid, our expectations fell short. Nevertheless, our family did enjoy the time spent

We found that the photos of the house accurately represented the property. The home was clean, well maintained, and in excellent condition. The air conditioning kept the house comfortable throughout our stay. The pool had been cleaned before our arrival on Sunday and was serviced again on Wednesday, which we appreciated. Our granddaughters especially enjoyed spending time in the private pool. One thing to be aware of is that crabs occasionally find their way into the pool, so you may need to scoop them out before swimming.
The rental included a voucher for beach equipment, which we were happy to take advantage of. It made it easy to obtain the beach gear we needed and saved us the expense and hassle of buying or renting those items ourselves.
The home also has a passenger elevator, which made it easy to move ourselves, luggage, groceries, and other personal items between floors without repeated trips on the stairs.
The rental instructions ask guests to inspect the house upon arrival and report any issues. We didn't notice any significant problems until later in the week when we decided to use the grill. We discovered that the grill controls were badly rusted and would not operate. We emailed Shoreline, and by the end of the day they had delivered a brand-new propane grill to the patio.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The home was exactly as advertised, clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and Shoreline's quick response to the grill issue demonstrated excellent customer service. We would be happy to rent through them again.

Well kept property with breathtaking sunrises! Elevator makes hauling luggage and groceries easy. Beds comfortable. Loved that all bedrooms had their own bathrooms. Many restaurants within 1-2 miles. The only caution would be the steep walk to and from the beach if you have trouble with mobility and the dining table is a high top.

Overall, the location of the property is ideal, particularly for large families with little kids. Back and forth to the beach for naps is easy. It’s close to so many beautiful dining options. The location is perfect.
However, the cleanliness of the house was lacking and the degree of luxury one might expect from a house like this was definitely not there.
There was mold in the showers, dust all over the artificial plants, blinds and furniture and the beds were made with hospital grade sheets that in some rooms were put on inside out. Frankly we made the house exponentially cleaner than it was when we arrived.
The bedding is incredibly dated and honestly a little gross with stains in more than one place in more than one room.
Would we stay here again? We have been asking ourselves that since we pulled out. It’s hard to say. The location is so ideal it’s hard to say no but for the price, you should definitely be getting a greater attention to detail and level of luxury.
