About this house rental

Welcome to Captains' Quarters. Beautiful lake front home, literally on the water. Open and enclosed deck with incredible lake views. Large dock on the water, swimming ramp, fire pit, and outdoor dining space. Wood burning fireplace, perfect for winter fun. Enjoy all 4 seasons. Fishing, two kayaks and a paddle boat, and boat rental available in sum,er. Visit Peek n Peak, less than 10 minutes away, with golf, adventure park (zip lines, mini golf & ropes course), spa, downhill skiing.

For guests traveling with young children, we have safety gates, a booster chair, and a pop up crib for your use. The door to the lake is protected with a security bar to prevent kids from getting outside. The home has a security system for your use as well.

We have life jackets (adult and kid sizes) and a paddle boat for the family to use. We also have three fishing poles available for guests. Several bait shops in down town offer worms and you can catch fish right off the back deck!

Classic lake house on prime lake front property. We were looking for a short getaway and this was perfect. Large windows with beautiful view. Comfy furniture and well stocked kitchen. Would recommend and definitely return.

Loved the Captains Quarters. The location is perfect for on the water activities as we enjoyed the pontoon, kayaks, paddle boards, and fishing. Check-in and communication with the host was quick, easy and friendly. The lake themed decor and choice room names were little things that made our stay enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Bonus - my daughter got engaged during our stay!!!

I had the total pleasure of staying at this beautiful lakeside home for 4-days. My partner and I could not have picked a more beautiful location: the interior of the home is clean, extremely spacious, wonderfully comfortable couch, chairs, and a huge array of beds (king, queen and a few other queens/doubles for those with families). But it's the lake views that are simply breathtaking: having an outdoor patio directly on the lake with expansive views, and one of the most unique things I've seen: an outdoor covered patio (so you can be in it during rain) with huge wide windows and an incredible view of the lake, with a couch and bed right there to relax on, with water vista views all around...simply incredible! Loved every moment of the stay, the home owners and managers were lovely and timely to interact with and thorough with information. Hope many others enjoy this wonderful and unique home :-)

Property was as advertised, perfect for a quick getaway to recharge the batteries/unplug for a minute. The lake area was great, house, ease of booking, communicating with host, all steps from looking up to checking out very convenient. Will definitely return to this property in the future when I need a mid-week break.

We had a relaxing weekend of games, puzzles, bird watching, good food and quality time together (the ultimate goal!). It was chilly but the sun came out on Saturday so we were able to enjoy an amazing sunset on the deck.

This home right on the lake was exactly the place my best friend and I were looking for for a weekend getaway! It was cozy with all the amenities we could have needed and more! The lake views out the main floor are incredible! Roarke was friendly and answered my messages immediately. I hope we can come back to stay here soon!

The house had everything you need, leave your beach towels at home cause they have several there. The kitchen has everything that you need to cook,grocery stores very close and several restaurants for take out.We were very comfortable there they offer platoon boat, kayaks, paddle boards, mat, tubing. The grandkids had a awesome time, we did smores in firepit by the water. Swimming and paddle boat rides. It did rain one day so we went to indoor waterpark in Erie, one afternoon we went to the beach on Presque Isle in Erie for a couple of hours but always came back for a nightly platoon boat ride.

Celebrated my daughter’s 17th Birthday Mama Mia themed. The girls enjoyed kayaking and paddle boating around the lake.The fresh sandwiches at Twin Docks are fabulous! Captains Quarters has everything you need and more . Everyone enjoyed their stay and can’t wait to return .

We loved this house! The location is so great being right on a beautiful lake with a view of the sunset. We had never ending fun with paddle boating, kayaking, and fishing. Walked to get ice cream. Beautiful hiking 20 minutes away at Chautauqua Gorge. Owner is a great communicator and checked in with us.

Our family had a great time. We made a ton of memories from the lake activities to playing board games by the 🔥 on our 1 chilly day. The astonishment of my 22 yr old daughter catching her 1st fish was one of the many highlights. Our host was equally great. Always available and truly wanted us to have the best stay possible. We really enjoyed our stay at this lakehouse!!! First of all, Roarke is an extremely accommodating host. Despite an issue with the air conditioing breaking before our arrival in one of the bedrooms, Roarke went out of his way to install a new air conditioning unit. When the installation took longer than expected and intruded on our vacation time, Roarke went out of his way to make it right. You really could not ask for better customer service from a nicer person. The house itself was exactly what we needed and having the pontoon boat was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Our kids enjoyed fishing and riding on the raft. Having the paddle boat and kayaks was really nice. The small town was super cute. We loved going to eat at Pine Junction and French Creek Tavern. The drinks at Alexanders were fantastic. In Erie we did an escape room and explored Presque Isle. We enjoyed having wineries nearby. We met and talked to locals, played basketball, rented bikes, went for walks. The ice cream at Krasa's Kove was delicious. We had a fantastic, relaxing vacation all around. We would definitely stay here again!!!

My family had such a great time here! The house has everything you need and so many fun water toys!! I enjoyed making meals in the kitchen and we had fun nights out on the deck. The sleeping porch was such a treat and a great place to take naps! Roarke is a great host and I can’t wait to stay here again!

We had an amazing 4th of July. Amazing location!!!! We watched fireworks right from the middle of the lake. Communication with the host was excellent. The house has everything that you might need. We found this place as a stop over on our week long road trip from Massachusetts to Indiana and then through Illinois, Michigan, and New York on the way back. It was such a relaxing part of our trip. Our only regret was not booking more time here! We have 5 children, ages 6 down to 2, between the two families. We personally do not love staying in places with lots of decorations or stuff that our kids can get into, so we base our decision to stay somewhere the plainer, the better. This place was absolutely perfect for our family! There was plenty of space....in fact, we didn't even use one whole bedroom! They had EVERYTHING we could have needed or wanted while we were there. I wish we had had more time to just hang out. They have a firepit on the dock, so we were able to enjoy a bit of time on the dock with a nice little fire on the day we were there (it was breezy and slightly chilly...so it was perfect). Everyone loved going on the paddle boat and kayaks. We just really, really enjoyed being there and definitely plan to return at some point for a long weekend. Thanks for having us, Baldwin family!
