We always enjoy coming to Benzette , although we did not see 1 elk which
was disappointing, but we still had a great time. We have been coming to Benzette for many years and always
see them. So we were a little disappointed that we didnt see any.
We love Elk Terrace Lodge, it is a very beautiful place & will be scheduling for next
year soon.
Thank You also for letting us get in earlier.

We stayed at this cabin for my husband's 50th birthday and everything was perfect. The cabin was clean and the bed was so comfortable. I haven't slept that good in a long time. I was impressed how fully stocked the kitchen was. You don't have to bring anything here except food. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

The house do need some updates. Wallpaper peeling off. The chair upstairs is ripped down it's side. Need dusted more. The 2 twin beds were on the floor. Hot tub work on some jets. The staircase frame is very loose. If someone fell that staircase would not stop them. We had to take all the sheets off the bed. Had to have all the dish in the dishwasher and washed. Then the cleaning fee shouldn't be so much. The neighbor were doing construction early in morning. The book says but they did not next door. Plus the place was price high for the condition.

it was a bit expensive but it was absolutely gorgeous

Beautiful cabin. So big. My son was in his glory. My mom was blown away and so was myself and my husband. Super clean. Didn’t get to use the hot tub. But it was a great get away for us! Quiet & peaceful great to unwind from the hustle and bustle of life!!

The cabin was beautiful. Over all a great place to visit.

The house is fine, but mainly because there are not many options in the Benezette area. We had three couples staying for a 3 day weekend of elk viewing, hiking and wine tasting. It was prime season and we paid a premium rate.
The house is conveniently located to area attractions. Directions for accessing the house were communicated well, and simple enough.
I can't imagine 13 people staying there with only 2 bathrooms and the 2 bedrooms, plus the loft.
One of the reasons we chose the property was the hot tub. Only hours before we headed to the property we received a text that the hot tub did not work. After our stay they told us we would receive a small refund.
To summarize, I don't feel that you get your money's worth, but there aren't many options.

We booked our cabin a month in advance. they made us paid everything prior to arrival. the day we got there it was a snow storm and the path to acess the cabin was blocked with snow! we got stuck there with our car over 3 hours not able to acess the cabin, after finally got out back to the roadt we contacted the host to asked for help to access the property they said that unfurtenetly there is nothing they can do and they don't provide any cleaning of snow service. we had to go look for a hotel to sleep and paid more money. after requesting our FULL REFUND since we wasn't able to get to the cabin ,EVOLVE sent us an email stating that we will not get our money back because this is the policy !!!!!!!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS SCAMMERS EVER

After paying everything in advanced, the day of our arrivals the entrance to the property wasn't accessible due to heavy snow. we got stuck in the car for couple of hours not able to get rescued because no phone or internet works there. after finally getting out backing up back to the main road we contacted the host about our situation, and they said that unfurtenetly they DO NOT PROVIDE ANY type of clearing the pathway service and there is nothing they can do at this point...…(every other place DO clean the road before entering the property)
we had to go and look for a hotel to spend the night and wait for the next day and booked a different reservation and paid more money.
after submitting a request for a FULL REFUND since the property wasn't accessible to get in the OWNERS REFUSED TO GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK...…..

This was our 5th trip out to Benezette and it did not disappoint. The cabin was clean and ready when we arrived. The view was great as the leaves were changing. Beds are comfortable and lots of towels provided. We enjoyed the hot tub one evening. We knew to bring prepared meals with us for most of the days and we had a sandwich at the hotel in town for one evening. Everything you need is provided in the cabin. But bring shampoo and soap. There is a new coffee shop in town where you can also eat lunch. We went to the visitor's center one evening and saw elk as well as elk along the road from town up to the cabin. Bring your binoculars! It was rutting season so you hear lots of buggling and one night I heard a pack of coyotes.
We did a few walks around the property and down the road. We also spent some time on the Quehanna highway looking at scenery and Table Falls.
We had two days of rainy weather and one day that was sunny so we were able to just sit outside and enjoy the mountain air.

Took our family, 8 adults and 4 grandsons to the Elk Terrace Lodge for 5 days. It was a wonderful experience and plenty of room for everyone. Sleeping accomodations worked well and plenty of space to relax. The wooded area with covered picnic pavilion and fire ring was nice for evening meals and s'mores around the campfire. Additional amenities such as the hot tub, large front yard, off road safety and quietness of the woods were much appreciated. Would book this cabin again. Great family gathering and elk seeing experience.

Our family had a lot of fun at this cabin near Benezette. Some highlights were sitting in the hot tub while listening to the elk bugle, throwing discs in the yard, playing games together in the pavilion on a rainy day, and watching bull elk fight in a field a mile from the cabin. The cabin was clean and the hosts were wonderful. We were notified before we arrived that there was a water pipe burst (on a Sunday) and they worked overtime to fix the problem and then refunded us some for the problem. Thanks for the great work!

A very enjoyable and peaceful stay. The set up is excellent. The loft is heavenly. To just wake, enjoy the woods and scenery immediately is a piece of heaven. The evening meal on the grill with a nice long walk is very tranquil. To ease away any tiredness the hot tub is the answer. Strolls along the roadways for elk is something that can't be done at our home. Deer and turkey make a peaceful viewing event when people are not around. It all can be a peace of heaven!

Loved the location of the house.. top of a hill and very quiet. We got to see the Milky Way! It was within short walking distance to hiking and elk viewing. It was a really cute house.. loved all the personal touches! There was plenty sleeping space for our party of six.
Two downsides- the oven wasn’t working. I’m sure they would have sent a maintenance person to fix, but appliances should be checked before guests arrive. We tried to use it within an hour of arriving and it didn’t work. I really didn’t want a maintenance person working on an oven in our shared space we were going to spend so much time in, so I just let them know it wasn’t working so new guests wouldn’t have a problem.
Be prepared for lack of counter space. Since the closest substantial grocery store is over a half hour away, we brought our own provisions. No pantry and limited counter space made it a challenge to place everything. They do have a full size refrigerator and nice stackable washer and dryer, as well as a dishwasher. Two good size bathrooms, but the upstairs one has the weirdest shower set up.. two regular shower heads face one another on opposite sides of a regular tub. Ended up being hard for shorter people to shower without getting hair wet since the only place to put shampoo and soap was lower than the shower heads.

This lodge is super neat, tucked back in against the hill away from the all the hustle of life. We saw a lot of elk nearby, which was a highlight for all of us! We had a great time & hope to return before to long!

Very nice, well kept and clean property. This house worked out very good for our group of 5. It was convenient to be able to cook breakfast at home every day. Unfortunately for us due to the weather we were unable to enjoy the outside amenities with the expectation of the hot tub which was relaxing. We didn't see any elk on the property but we saw large amount very near by. We are already making plans to bring our grandkids back next year.

First time visiting Benezette. Couldn't be more pleased with our accommodations. Cabin is beautifully appointed. The amenities, cleanliness, surroundings all perfect - more than we could hope for. Highly recommend this property for you stay in Benezette. We were NOT disappointed - elk sightings throughout our stay. If it's elk you traveled for, make your way down to Ruffo Flats, right behind the local/downtown gas station - sure to please! We do plan to return next year!

Pictures cannot capture the beauty of this cabin! It felt like home and was so inviting. And huge plus is that is didn’t smell bad lol. Worth the visit. We plan to come back next year, unless the owners are willing to sell it to us lol.
10.0 / 10.0
The cabin was nice. Not as large as the pictures made it look, I was surprised at the size difference from the photos to reality. We were only 3 so size was not an issue. It may be a bit overpriced like some reviews said, but the atmosphere is worth a lot too. No elk walked thru our yard, but that’s ok! It’s peaceful, beds are comfortable. If you have a special frying pan you might want to bring it along, the ones there are just ok. But for the most part dishes, cooking pans, silverware, glasses, even wine glasses, are provided. You may want aluminum foil for cooking or Seran wrap for obvious reasons. View is really nice, yard is nice, pavilion is nice...it’s a beautiful area..,so peaceful and relaxing and that’s worth much in today’s world. We would go again!

Awesome cabin with enough space for family getaway to relax and enjoy. Kid and adult friendly. Amazing views and wonderful outdoor space from patio, to hot tub, to grill and pavilion for play and meals. Elk wandering through the yard in the morning and very close to great Elk viewing sites. Amenities were stocked and in enough supply for our group and facilities were clean and inviting. Would love to return soon for another stay at this wonderful property!

Everything about this cabin is top rate. It's beautiful, clean and well supplied. The beds are comfortable.
On 2 of the days we had some rain showers so we enjoyed using the picnic tables beneath the pavilion. We loved the fire pit and all the lawn chairs were an added plus.
Thank you for renting out this great place.

This place great. Everything you need is there. Secluded and private, but close to enough to go into town if you want. This place is great for if you like Glamping. We've been coming for the last 5 years and will keep coming back.

We have been staying at Elk Terrace, since it was constructed about 15 years ago. We noticed the additional beds, large couch and 2 new HVAC units.
It was the usual enjoyable stay, we will be back next year.
