The Elk Ridge Cabin on Apple Ridge is a beautiful luxury rustic log cabin tucked away in a lush green forest overlooking the Pisgah national Forest with long range views of the Blue Ridge mountains stretching into the distance. From the very large deck you can relax , sit a spell and take in the mountain air with amazing views and the sounds of the birds nesting in the trees. Take a walk down to the fire pit and from there you can relax by the fire, and roast marshmallows, sip a glass of wine and make wonderful memories with family and friends. Bird watching and nature walks with your pets are fun pastimes. The cabin is situated on a private road where you can see additional views and experience the unique ever changing vistas. The Fall Foliage is a special thing of beauty to behold. It's 2.5 miles to the quaint village of Blowing Rock, but you will feel that you have a piece of Heaven all to yourself. The location couldn't be more perfect. You will feel tucked away in a magical place, yet be only minutes from Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is convenient to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mountain, Mast General Store, hiking, waterfalls, and breweries.

We bought the vacation rental because we wanted to share this area with others. We care deeply that all who stay at the cabin have a wonderful, peaceful get away to enjoy. We personally oversee everything.

The views from the deck are awesome. Especially in the spring and fall. It is very peaceful and there is a large yard with plenty of space to walk around the property.

We live nearby just down from the cabin so we are available to help whenever needed. We have a privacy wall and have planted trees between the cabin and ourselves to ensure our guest have a great stay.

We love living in Blowing Rock. We love hiking and motorcycling in these beautiful mountains. We have two dogs and three cats. You couldn't make us ever leave here.

Beautiful Blowing Rock Log Cabin with Spectacular Long Range Views!

Cars are necessary to get around. The road is black top but uphill. .
Uber has just recently come to our area. I don't think there are a lot of drivers yet and they come out of the Boone area so call ahead.

This home was built to take in all of the wonderful views of the mountains. It is the most comfortable home that I have ever lived in. You wake in the morning to the sounds of birds and nature.
The view is to the south looking over the John River Gorge. The address is technically Lenoir NC but that is confusing. Lenoir is 20 miles away and this house sits high on the wooded Ridge line just 2.5 miles from the village of Blowing Rock. Yes, it only takes about 5 minutes to drive into the town! The area is Pisgah national Forest and is special in that this area will not be developed in the future due to the National Forest designation. In the winter the view is also very enchanting due to the fact that far, far in the distance you can see the East West corridor of I- 40. We call it the ribbon of lights that run just along the horizon line way out beyond the mountains. It highlights the beauty of the multi layered view of the mountains.
